His eyes drifted off to the side, fingers uncurling from around the arm rest. The white in his knuckles soon returned back to its normal flushed pink colour, a sharp sigh falling from his lips.
They were in the air.
The hunk of metal was sailing smoothly through the clouds, the sky painted an inky blue with the sun obscured, beating down powerful rays. Despite the airplane being a little stuffy, there was a faint blast of cold air igniting from above him, ruffling his brown baby hairs from time to time.
Theo craned his head round after unclipping his seatbelt, peering over the edge of his seat in search of Javier. The seats were too high, and his Mexican friend was unfortunately hidden away by a window seat. Theo scoffed, and collapsed back down.
He dug around in his pockets and yanked out his phone, along with his Airpod case, flicking the lid open with one swipe and pulling the earbuds out.
He had plenty of films previously downloaded on Netflix – although intitally planned to enjoy with Javier, he supposed there were a few he would just have to watch by himself. It would make the journey go quicker.
God, he prayed the journey would go quicker.
Wedging his airpods into his ears, Theo abruptly pushed down the tray in front of him, thumbing at his cracked mobile screen.
He selected a film, pressed play, and leaned back.
