Never Ever Come Down
When your hurt you take a step back,
and put up a wall to protect yourself.
When someone accepts your outside,
you start to take down the wall to
let them in.
If they betray you, you put the
wall back up and make it
stronger, reinforce it.
You are more wary when the
next person comes along.
But if the person accepts you,
inside and out,
you reach out and pull them in.
You either fix the wall or
leave it slightly open to
allow others a look in.
If someone who looks in
decides to betray you,
you close up the wall
and lock yourself and
the one other person in.
When your hurt you take a step back,
and put up a wall to protect yourself,
and if that happens it may
never ever come down.
