I ran quickly, my feet aching with pain and sweat. I could hear the sound of the wind blowing passed me with each step I took and I could see the dimming of the clouds up above as a drop of rain ran down my brow. I was running, running away from the pain of knowing I was left.
Today is my birthday, I turn sixteen, my mom was suppose to take me shopping. And then, we were suppose to come home and celebrate with my sister,brother and father. But I guess things had changed because I woke up with them all gone; It's like they celebrated without me. I tried calling their cell phones, no answer, their work phones, no answer and their school, no answer, no nothing. I could feel tears forming int my eyes as I continued to run.
The rain came down harder, mixing with my tears. Where am I going to go? Will people actually believe me when I tell them I just woke up and my whole family was gone and nowhere to be found? All these questions running through my mind. I think I'm going insane.
You know, I slept well last night. The best sleep I've gotten in years. No nightmares, no crazy dreams just peacefulness. I'm now confused as to whether this is a dream or reality. Whether...I'm just trapped or forgotten.
