when yukhei had to deal with jungwoo panicking for his first date;

a year had passed after the confession and yukhei is now laid on his bed, staring up on the ceiling, and still thinking about it. it never went out of his head that his bestfriend swing that way. nothing had been the same for him after knowing that. although, he didn't make it too obvious for jungwoo. the older's personality didn't change. he's still the shy type when around with people but would still show his true self whenever he's with yukhei.
but it bothered yukhei so much at how his heart would flutter whenever jungwoo gets extra clingy to him and would break whenever he'd see a boy talking to his bestfriend.
he'd like to convince himself that he's just a protective friend but that's not enough reason to scare any boy that would have heart eyes for jungwoo.
❝hm?❞ yukhei got alarmed when he heard his ringtone from his phone. turning his head to the side, he eyed the device that lit up and showed what was going to happen for the day. ❝oh, right.❞

no, it's not that senior who confessed to him. jungwoo actually rejected the confession and yukhei couldn't have felt more relieved after knowing that. but now, he wasn't so sure anymore. he felt empty knowing that someone was making moves on his bestfriend.

"yukhei, come down this instant!"
groaning as he heard his mother's call, yukhei forced himself up from the bed and didn't even bother fixing himself. he just went out of his room and got down with lazy steps, only to see his mother having her hand on her hips and looking at him with a look like she was ready to nag at him. yawning, he ran a hand on his hair and approached his mother.
"what is it?"
pointing a finger at the door, yukhei didn't bother following where she was pointing. "how dare you leave jungwoo outside!?"
not until a name was mentioned.
widening his eyes, yukhei didn't waste any time and rushed towards the front door. he opened it immediately and saw his bestfriend outside, freezing under the cold breeze despite of having a sweater on. the taller male breathed heavily, looking starstruck at how jungwoo looked extra adorable for the night. ❝jungwoo, don't you have a date to—❞
❝i'm nervous.❞
