THE FOLISHNESS OF MAN

.The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.

.What comes out of a person is what defiles him. For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness.

.God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

.Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord." To the contrary, "if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head." Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

.For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe.

.It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.

.When a man's folly brings his way to ruin, his heart rages against the Lord.

.A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion.

.Folly is bound up in the heart of a child, but the rod of discipline drives it far from him

.The devising of folly is sin, and the scoffer is an abomination to mankind.

.Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest you be like him yourself. Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own eyes.

.I turned my heart to know and to search out and to seek wisdom and the scheme of things, and to know the wickedness of folly and the foolishness that is madness.

.Crush a fool in a mortar with a pestle along with crushed grain, yet his folly will not depart from him.

.Like a dog that returns to his vomit is a fool who repeats his folly.

.The heart of him who has understanding seeks knowledge, but the mouths of fools feed on folly.

.The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouths of fools pour out folly.

.We are fools for Christ's sake, but you are wise in Christ. We are weak, but you are strong. You are held in honor, but we in disrepute

.But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother will be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother will be liable to the council; and whoever says, 'You fool!' will be liable to the hell of fire.

.A fool's lips walk into a fight, and his mouth invites a beating. A fool's mouth is his ruin, and his lips are a snare to his soul.

.Dead flies make the perfumer's ointment give off a stench; so a little folly outweighs wisdom and honor. A wise man's heart inclines him to the right, but a fool's heart to the left. Even when the fool walks on the road, he lacks sense, and he says to everyone that he is a fool.

.A fool despises his father's instruction, but whoever heeds reproof is prudent.

.The crown of the wise is their wealth, but the folly of fools brings folly.

.foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you

.A prudent man conceals knowledge, but the heart of fools proclaims folly.
