Reckless

( THORINS POV )

It was still light and I was sitting under a tree leaning on the tree trunk cleaning and sharpening my weapons. I noticed someone walking towards me and when I looked up I saw it was Calista.
"Hey" she said
"Yes" I asked knowing she wanted something.

She twisted her foot into the ground a bit before looking at me and asking
"Do you think I could have my weapons back now"
I chuckled and nodded pulling up a very heavy bag that was full of weapons and her other belongings. I tossed it to her and she caught it then crouched down and opened it.
"Thanx" she simply stated.

I watched as she pulled out her weapons and put them in their places. She had knives in her boots, on her thigh, around her waist and in her clothes. She had throwing axes on her boots and a long sword on her waist. Twin swords on her back along with a quiver and bow.

"What are they" I said pointing to the little leather pouches hanging on her belt
"Herbs, for healing" she paused than said
"I'm known by some for being reckless and getting myself into trouble so I carry medicine around just in case" I nodded and went back to cleaning my sword.

"I'm just going to scout around a bit before dark" she told me.
I was about to object but she ran off through the shrubbery before I could.
"I'll go keep an eye on her" Kili said before running after her.
I sighed and slumped back against the tree.

( KILIS POV )

When Calista ran to scout around I instantly went after her. I figured it would be a good chance to talk and try and learn more about this mysterious girl that has intrigued me so much. When I caught up to were I saw her go I realised she was nowhere in sight.

"Calista" I called, I walked around trying to work out where she ran off too but I couldn't find any tracks or anything.
"Calista, cal- ahhhhhh" i started calling for her again when she swung down infront of me. I jumped away in fright and saw her laughing hysterically, she looked quite funny with her legs holding onto the branch while she hang upside down with her face in mine. Her hair was so long it hit the ground and when she finished laughing she just smirked triumphantly at her prank.

"O, I'll get you for that" I said
"Oooooo I'm soooo scared" she spoke sarcasm dripping from her words.
"You will be" I pulled her down off the branch and we rolled down a small hill so I was on top of her and straddling her waist. I pinned her wrists down above her head and leaned down to whisper in her ear.
"Your thoughts now" she shuddered earning a devilish grin from me

I flicked my gaze from her eyes to her lips trying to fight the strong urge to claim those perfect lips of hers. She propped herself up on her elbows so our bodies were inches from touching and said
"Other than how cute you look when you smile, no" that's it I'm going for it. I leaned in and was about to kiss her when she pushed me up and rolled out from under me landing in a crouching position then standing.

"What's wrong?" I asked
"Shhhhhh, I heard something" she whispered making a hand gesture to follow her.
I did and when we walked on I was suddenly pulled down behind a bush. I looked over to see Calista peeking over the bushes with her hand still on my forearm.

When I looked over the bushes I saw a pack of 15 orc scouts all sitting on wargs.
"Go back to camp and get help" she ordered me. I was ready to tell her no when she gave me a look that meant don't argue with me or you'll regret it!
"Fine" I sighed running off back to camp to get help.

( CALISTA'S POV )

Once I got Kili to go back to camp and warn the others I grabbed my bow and an arrow getting ready to fight. I didn't need help but I wanted Kili out of the way so he didn't get hurt. I thought about how he almost kissed me and scowled because I don't want to hurt him when he finds out it is impossible for my kind to love.

"Let's just get this over and done with" I thought notching an arrow and shooting a warg in the scull killing it instantly. The orcs looked around for the threat as I shot an orc that saw me and was about to point me out.

"Hear goes nothing" I said jumping out of the bushes and drawing my twin blades from my back. I started hacking at everything that came within a 1 metre radius of me ending up with a pile of wargs in the centre of the clearing. I worked on the orcs for a couple of minutes until they were all dead and spread out around me in pools of blood.

Several of the filthy scum had had their heads severed from the body or one of my daggers impaled in there chest. I kicked a couple of them out of the way as I started searching them for anything that would give me a clue about why they were here, something told me it had something to do with me and the company but unfortunately I found nothing to prove my theory.

When I was done I retrieved all my weapons and climbed the mound of dead wargs, once I was at the top I pulled out I a rock I found and started sharpening the arrows I used in the fight while I waited for the company to arrive.

I heard battle cries and looked up to see the dwarves running out from the bushe with their weapons all unsheathed and ready for a fight.
"Arrrrrrrr, yeah yeah I get it" I laughed mimicking there silly battle cry for my own humor. The dwarves had a look of utter shock on their face as I jumped off the carcasses and landed with a thud infront of Thorin.

"B-but how, I was gone 10 minutes" Kili stated completely baffled.
"10 minutes, that's longer than normal, I hope I'm not losing my touch" I teased as I walked through the group heading towards camp. I looked back at them and winked before sheathing one of the daggers I didn't notice was missing back into my boot and left.

( THORINS POV )

When I saw what she did to 15 orcs each astride a warg in 10 minutes, it really made me question her. I know I should be grateful that she killed them all but I couldn't help but feel a little weary of her. I stared at her retreating back and said
"Yep, definitely reckless" and walked on after her.

IM GIVING YOU A CLUE ABOUT WHATS GOING TO START HAPPENING THROUGHOUT THE NEXT FEW CHAPTERS.........

IT WONT BE LONG UNTIL CALISTA FINDS SOMETHING SHE NEVER WAS MEANT TO HAVE, THAT SHE THOUGHT SHE DIDNT DESERVE AND IN A WAY DOESNT WANT!!!!!!!!!!!!
