 [a month later]

Things hadn't changed much in the One Direction-now Styles and Horan household. Niall was still staying with the Styles family, and he was more then welcome to seeing as the house was damn huge. Skyla had been thinking about about getting a smaller house but this massive house held so many memories-no other house would feel like home. Not even the house next door where she used to live in.

There was news that her brother had passed away with an unknown illness that his mother didn't treat him for, which completely broke Skyla years ago when she found out on the news. So every week she goes to the charity that does amazing work for children with diseases like that one Dylan had, and donates. It makes her feel good about herself. And a way, she knew Dylan would feel good too. If only she got to say goodbye. Today was the day that marked  the two year anniversary of his death. Alyssa was too young to understand anything about her real uncle, and it was really such a hard tale for Skyla to tell.

"I want to drive you...-"

"-but you can't. It's okay, Harry. Don't worry. Just stay inside." Skyla put on a fake smile and touched Harry's large hand in reassure but it was lie because it really wasn't okay. She wanted someone for support, support that she really needed. She knew she was going to break down beside that tombstone marking where her precious little angel lay. She missed Dylan like absolute crazy. He would be 13 or 14 right now and it would be a wonder to imagine what he would be looking like right now. Possibly he could've had a girlfriend right now. Asking his sister for relationship advice. This thought caused tears to brim into Skyla's eyes, so she hastily turned away from Harry so he couldn't see she was in pain. He would then do everything in his power to come to the graveyard with him.

But to Skyla's luck, Niall noticed as she turned around and a tear slipped down her cheek.

"Sky." Niall gasped, rushing towards her and this made Skyla cry now because old memories were flooding her brain. The only reason she had met the boys, her husband, had Alyssa, was because of Dylan. And he wasn't around to ever witness all of this.

"I miss him so much!" Skyla cried out and both guys wrapped their arms around her in comfort, a sandwich hug.

Alyssa ran into the room from the kitchen and her hazel eyes gaped at the sight of her family crying. "Mummy? Daddy? Uncle Ni? Don't cry. Please don't cry!" She tried her best to engulf their legs with her small arms but only managed to reach out to half of Niall's and Harry's legs but it was the thought that counted.

"Does she know?" Harry asked in a hushed tone into Skyla's ear and she gently shook her head. Of course she was quite young to know about the concept of death but she was a strong child. She reminded Skyla of how she was when she was a child. She had to be strong, when you had a crap mother.

Was she a bad mother to Alyssa? No, because she has been trying so hard to be the mother that her mother, Alyssa's grandmother wasn't.

And she was doing a pretty damn good job.

"Mum?" The word fell out Skyla's lips as she was in shock to see her own mother bent down beside Dylan's tombstone. She could recognise that cheaply dyed blonde hair from anywhere.

Miss Ashley stood slowly to her feet, equally shocked to see Skyla as Skyla was to see her. They hadn't set eyes on one another in four years. They had both changed so much.

"Alexis... you've... grown." Miss Ashely commented, still taking in her daughter's new features. She was curvier and much more healthier then before. There was a sparkle in her brown eyes that wasn't there when Miss Ashely was around. Harry's sparkle.

"Yes I have. You... have tattoos." Skyla raised an eyebrow to the exposed arm that Miss Ashley's leather jacket wasn't hiding. She hastily pulled it down, as if the words on her wrist ashamed her.

"Yes well, I had to remember Dylan some way." Miss Ashely mumbled as her words take Skyla by surprise. Her mother has her brother's name on her wrist? Wow.

"I see. So you must've forgotten about me then... so much for coming back." Skyla narrowed her eyes at the woman who had made her childhood a living hell. So many colourful filled her brain, but she held back and wanted to stay calm... for now.

"I would never forget you, Alexis. You're my baby girl and you'll always be my baby girl." Skyla cringed at that sentence, that sentence was always said to Alyssa by her. Hearing the words now were sickening. Speaking of her daughter...

"I have a daughter, mum." Skyla blurted suddenly and instantly regretted it as she watched her mother's reactions change.

She looked disgusted.

"You? Having a daughter? How old are you now, Alexis? 16?!"

Skyla clenched her fists angrily at this, it was absolutely horrible that her own mother doesn't know how old she is! She is far more older then sixteen!

"I'm twenty two, mum! And I'll have you know I'm a much better mother then you ever were to Dylan and I! You have no right to be here, to be anywhere near my little brother! I loved him so much... and it's YOUR fault that he passed away! If only you had taken care of him properly, or left him with me where he could've been loved more then you'd ever-" and Skyla received a full slap from Miss Ashely because maybe her more couldn't handle the truth.

"You disgust me, Alexis. You really do." and she stalked away, without saying anything else to her daughter. She was disgusted by such a strong independent young woman?

Does she even have the right to say that, after all she's done?

No is the answer.
