I heard my phone ring awaking me from my sleep and so I tried hitting the snooze button but couldn’t find it until I realized it was my caller tone for Mavis, she was obsessed with this song well let’s make that both of us cause we all know Nicki SLAAYY. I rubbed my eyes and squinted at the screen and answered the call still half-asleep.
“Heey!!!!”
“Oh my gaad your so damn loud,uhhh morning?”
“Please don’t tell me your still in bed? Fayne its 12:00 pm!!Get yo ass out of that bed and get dressed, im coming over”
“Get dressed?”
“This whole lunch thing with Jaden and his friends, remember?”
“OH SHIT, Im up! Im Up! I completely forgot, I gotta go bye”
I literally bounced off my bed and got in the bathroom and took a 10-minute shower. Now the real problem, what to wear? I rummaged through my cupboard finding, nothing. After a little more digging in the closet I was torn between two outfits;
1} A white ‘DOPE’ crop top with a denim, high waisted shorts and my galaxy vans OR
2} White tanktop with a light pink chiffon hi- low skirt , a gold brass chunky necklace and a pair of strappy sandals.
What To DO?? Since I couldn’t wait for Mavis, I called my mum to choose since I loved both the outfits. She came into my room and stared hard,
“Hello? Before Christmas, mum don’t you think?”
“okay okay! Fine I really find the Hi-low skirt really pretty if you could pair it with gold accessories”
“ Alright, thanks now byeee”
I know what you’re thinking, ‘Your mum Fashion game on fleek!!’ Well yeah she’s kinda an actress ; acted in movies like ‘Best Man Holiday’ etc. So yeah I have walked the red carpet a few times *wink wink*. I hurried and got dressed up and straightened my hair and split a small line in the middle and touching on some makeup and finally pairing them up with my gold cross earrings and a small simple gold charm bracelets that Myles got me on my 16th birthday. And just in the nick of time Mavis arrived. I picked my phone from the charger and went downstairs where Mavis was already there watching MTV
“Have you talked to him?” asked Mavis trying to sound as non-chalant as possible, Epic failure.
“Uh, no actually. I haven’t checked my phone since I woke up its been charging”
“Sooooo check, he might’ve called or texted or SOMETHING to let you know where where were meeting exactly”
At that I unlocked my phone and saw about 2 missed calls and 2 texts all from Jaden or should I say ‘Jaden ;)’ as he saved himself on my phone, smh. I opened the text and it read,
“Morning, Its Jaden
We’ll be at the Cineplex, the one at CityWalk
You can just call when you get here
Cheers :)”
“So we decided to watch Hunger Games : Mocking Jay Part1
And it starts at 1pm,
See you then, got two tickets for you and your friend
Jaden”
