I wore my school uniform and went to the kitchen to eat breakfast. Weeks has already passed and today is my first day of class. While eating, I opened my socials to check my notifications when I saw a tweet about some detective mystery cases. I suddenly remember someone. Ha! How nice. Naalala ko pa talaga yung kumag na yon!
My class starts at 10 am but I'm already here at school an hour early. I didn't want to be late, first day pa naman. Surprisingly, hindi lang ako ang may gusto na maaga. There were already a lot of students here inside the campus. Ang difference lang, ako mag isa while almost all of 'em were already catching up with their friends. Okay lang! New student naman ako. It's normal for me to be alone since I don't know anyone yet.
I'm taking psychology as my course. 2nd year na 'ko sa college and the reason why I left my previous school was because I didn't like it there. Well, I have reasons okay! Para sa 'kin kasi it's really important na comfortable ako sa paligid ko. Apparently, I wasn't that comfortable there. It was a great school though. It's not about their system of course and I'm not getting bullied. It's just that uhh well maybe I wanted a new atmosphere. Ay ewan! Basta yon. I'm really grateful na pumayag naman din sila mama.
I walked towards our building and started looking for my room. Another reason why I left our condo early kasi hindi ko pa masyadong alam mga pasikot sikot dito. I've only been here twice. Hindi pa masyadong naka libot because I was busy fixing my papers. When I saw a girl that looks approachable, I went to her and asked her if she knows my room.
"Hi! Excuse me, Miss. Do you know where room 18 B is? Bago lang kasi ako dito." I asked her politely.
"Oh, hello! Yes yes. Sa second floor yan so you could take the elevator or the stairs since hindi naman masyadong mataas ang pupuntahan mo. Then when you get there deretso ka lang, when you see room 12 turn left ka na then mahahanap mo na dun yung sign ng room niyo. I'm Cheska by the way." she smiled at me widely and pulled out her hand for me to shake it.
I didn't expect that. She's so friendly! So I quickly shook her hand and returned her smile.
"I'm Olivia. Thank you sa directions! Sorry rin sa abala." I said shyly.
"No worries, Olivia! I'm waiting for my friend here din kasi kahit na sa ibang building ako. Haha. Oh, I'm a law student, 3rd year. Diyan lang ang building namin. I think about 3 buildings from here." she said while pointing at the building.
I smiled at her not sure what to say.
"Oh, I'm sorry kung madaldal ako." she stopped talking when she saw a girl walking towards us. That's when I decided to bid my goodbye to her.
"Uh, Cheska mauna na ako ah. Thank you uli!"
"Oh, okay! Nice meeting you, Olivia!" I waved at her and took the stairs instead of the elevator. I still have thirty minutes.
I sat at the second to the last row of the room. Unti unti nang nag dadatingan ang mga magiging kaklase ko. Hindi rin nag tagal dumating na ang prof namin. She's now checking our attendance.
"Anderson, Nick"
"Present, ma'am"
"Bailey, Prince Matthew" a tall looking guy wearing a black hoodie with lazy eyes raised his hand.
"Here, ma'am."
"Barret, Madison" no one answered.
"Ms. Barret, Madison?" still, no response.
"For the last time, Ms. Barret-" she was interrupted when the door suddenly opened. A long wavy haired girl showed up. She looks so clean with our white uniform and it hugged her body very well that it's showing her curves. She's wearing eyeglasses but that just adds up to her looks. Red lips, pinkish cheeks and her perfectly threaded eyebrows. She do be looking real good.
"Ms. Barret?" our prof asked.
"Yes, ma'am. Sorry I'm late" she looked outside and nodded at someone. When I looked at where she was looking, I saw him.
Austin was wearing a white long sleeve button down shirt with black necktie. His hair was up and he looks really fresh and neat. His black slacks paired with black shoes and belt fitted him perfectly. I wonder how I look right now. Mag mumukha siguro akong taong grasa sa tabi nila.
The girl sitted in front of me, a reason why Austin and I had a quick eye contact. I immediately broke that contact and looked at the front instead. Nakakaconcious! Masyado silang mahal ni Lord!
"Correy, Dawn Olivia?" I was surprised nung tinawag ako but I still managed to answer her.
"P-PRESENT MA'AM!" napalakas nga lang. P*cha
I heard soft laughs from my classmates pero hinayaan ko na lang yon. Bahala na. Kasi mas nag aalala ako dun sa lalaking nasa labas! Baka narinig niya ko! When I glanced at the door, he's already gone. Buti naman.
Class started and hours went by very quickly. Before I could even knew it, t'was already lunch time. I decided to go at the nearest coffee shop to eat lunch kahit alam 'kong hindi yon sapat para sakin. I wanted to do school stuff din kasi. Para hindi matambakan ng requirements.
I ordered iced matcha latte and artichoke, tomato with goat cheese flatbread. Hindi ko pa nauubos pero parang nagugutom na uli ako. I gave my name and sat down to wait for my order. Nilabas ko muna ang laptop and papers ko to start doing my school works. I still managed to focus kahit na medyo maingay and crowded ngayon dito. I can't blame them it's lunch time.
When I heard my name, I stood up and walked to the receiving area to get my order. While I'm minding my own business, the barista called another name para sila naman ang makakuha ng order. I was about to go back to my seat when I saw a familiar face walking towards me. Huh? Bakit? Wala naman akong atraso sakanya ah.
I stopped walking and looked at him. I was about to talk pero nilampasan niya 'ko! Oh God help me. Napahiya ako dun ah! Mag lalakad na sana uli ako pero nasa tabi ko na siya! What the
"Bear, huh?" he said while looking outside, holding his cup of coffee with his other hand in his pocket.
"Ikaw nga Dino eh! Ang baho pakinggan ano ka dinosaur?!" I laughed at him.
"It's cute kaya." he said. Now looking at me.
What the- teka bigla akong naconcious! I fixed my posture and looked outside.
"U-uh, sure."
"And it's not mabaho pakinggan, bear."he pouted, then walked away.
