INGRID REID is a warrior. There was no doubt about it. The daughter of Ares is one of the toughest girls at camp, and everyone knows it. Because of her rough exterior and aggressive parentage, she hides in her own skin, afraid that if she's any different than her stereotypical siblings, she'd be exiled yet again. On the other hand, her twin brother, CASEY REID isn't afraid of who he is. He's an open book, and if anyone has a problem with him, he'll confront them right away. Despite their daily squabbles, the two have each other's backs no matter what.
RACHEL ELIZABETH DARE feels like an outcast. She's not a demigod, yet she stays at camp with everyone else. On top of that, she's known as a prophecy spitting freak. While the compliments to her face are nice, she can hear the whispers behind her back. She felt as if no one understood her, until she met Ingrid.
Ever since she threw that stupid hairbrush at the lord of the titans, Ingrid has admired Rachel ever since. Not just for her bravery, but her beauty as well. With new threats arising, Ingrid and Rachel stumble across each other, and soon learn that they're more similar than they seem. Together, the two figure out something for sure; they are both warriors.
