FALLING FOR THE WRONG GUY

"Hey Gwen, are you up for lunch today?its on me, " shouted Drake one of the friends i have made in the past six months i had been working at  Anelo Publisher .we even dated at a time but it didn't work so we just settled for friends."sure Drake, "i shouted back with a little smile.

Well things has changed alot after my little break up with Gabe.Paty and i moved to the other apartment we had found and started a fresh.she got a great job in town the majors on interior design,  she get paid well and lets just say both our salaries is enough to keep us going.

She is still dating my good friend Jacob, they are good together and their relationship is growing stronger each day unlike me who has been dating a different guy every month and nothing works out, i only end up comparing them with him.

Six whole months and i can't get over him.Jacob and the twins were not happy with me but they let it go and promised to not let him know where we moved to and it has been that way.i love this job, the people i met here are amazing friends and our boss Mrs Anelo, she is like a mother to all of us.

Atleast i spend the whole day reading through novels that needs editing and publishment and i love it, can't complain.The only sad part is that she wants to sell the company to someone else, we can't question her cause lets face it, its her company so she can do whatever she wants to do with it, good news is that the buyer is gonner let her stay to surpevise because aparrently, he or she know nothing about writing and stuff but just wanted to expand his businesses in all sectors, genius .

Drake and i made our way in the café at the corner of the company and settled in the only empty booth left.the café wasnt that big but it served good food and was always full of people at this time.As soon as we settled, a waiter came and took our orders and we were served quickly.

"You dating someone?" He asked looking at me." And why are you asking, have somebody in mind?" I smiled ." No ..not like that, you don't just seem to be in any serious relationship why?"he asked again."lets just say I'm not interested in anything serious as per now, "i told him.

" can i tell you something?"he asked and i nodded."i think you liked somebody alot and he is still the one you like that's why you don't stay long with someone else cause no matter how hard you try to forget him, he is still the only one who keeps you awake at night."he said looking at me and my tear bags decided to do their job.

"Why can't you be with him then?" He pushed."its complicated, "i whispered." How complicated?" "His father wants him to be with someone else, someone of his standards and I'm not, " i said trying so hard not to cry."Does he want to be with her?" He asked."i don't know Drake, he told me we could date secretly but i couldn't do it so i broke it off, "i told him.

" Look Gwen, sometimes in life we don't have to let people rule our lives.i know your parents let you life yours cause they let you live with your best friend cause that's what you wanted, i know your dad is rich but you decided to make your own money by working your ass off, so don't you think he had to make him?and maybe he had chose you, " wow!the guy had some words in him but what is done is done can't take it back cause maybe he is even engaged to Britney Wells by now, i thought to myself.

"I can't do anything about it anymore okay, i know i was stupid but i had my reasons and i can't take it back, and he moved on already so it doesn't matter Drake." I said standing up, i lost my appetite.Drake paid and we walked back to work."I'm sorry i got you upset, "he appologised ." no it's okay, actually I'm glad you told me what has been on your mind, thanks, "i told him and walked to my office and went on with the rest of the work i had for the day.

I got a message from Jacob asking if i was free on saturday so we could hang out and after quickly telling him that he could pick me whenever he wanted i finished up my work and called it a day. Just hope i don't get another talk from Paty cause she seemed to have been bottling her anger up and i kept on avoiding her by staying late at work but since Drake opened it up why not get it done and over with?
