"I'll always protect you"

Justin's P.O.V

Me and Sel entered the house filled with drunk, sweaty teenagers. Music rang into my ears leaving a buzzing sound almost. I loved party's, but by the tightening grip on my arm coming from Selena I can tell that she doesn't like them so much.

"Let's get a drink." Selena nodded in a agreement and I pulled her to the table of different bottles of liquor. After pouring a liquid into two cups I handed one to Sel and drank mine. I'll only probably drink a few... I mean, that won't hurt, right?

Two hours had passed along with one too many shots and I feel like I could do anything. I've always hated the taste of alcohol but I suppose you never really drink for the taste... Just the feeling.
Selena had started to enjoy herself. We were both dancing away among the crowd and I hasn't seen her enjoy her self since what's been going on with Chaz and stuff.

"I'm gonna use the bathroom." I walked away from Selena and headed up stairs. Drinking makes me pee so bad. I reached the top of the stairs, passing many couples making out, and bumped into a guy dressed in all black.
"Sorry bro, didn't see you there..." I couldn't see his face but I didn't stick around for long to notice, he headed down stairs anyway.

Selena's P.O.V
Just had just gone to use the bathroom so I decided to step outside for some fresh air. The smell of alcohol and sweaty bodies was a bit too much for me. I pulled out my phone when I heard the front door open and someone step outside next to me. I ignored them and carried on starring at the illuminated screen in my hand pretending like I was texting someone.

A few minutes went by and he was still there. Still staring. I texted Justin saying I'd be outside so I'm waiting for him, I think we'll be leaving soon anyway.

I looked to my left to see that the man had gone. I didn't even hear him move, he had just vanished out of thin air. Probably for the best, I was starting to feel uncomfortable. I let out a sigh of relief and heard a chuckle next to me.

"Did you really think I wouldn't know you'd be here?" I could hear his voice, but I couldn't see him.
"You know, you're not that smart... Selena." My breath hitched in my throat and I felt his breath on my face.

"Why won't you just leave me alone!?" A sharp stinging sensation spread across my face as his fist collided with my cheek bone.
"Why won't you just give up already!?" He argued back, pure anger wrapped in his voice. I wiped the tear from my eye when a slight cackle crept out his mouth.
"Oh here we go again with the water works. You're such a cry baby, honestly it's boring. Justin's not here to save you boo hoo!" He pretended to cry. His hand wrapped around my arm forcing me to follow him and I had no strength to fight back. I had no strength to hell or help, he was right. This time Justin wasn't here to save me. Maybe I should just give up. He was always going to win in the end anyway... Right? He opened his mouth to say something when the front door opened again.

"Aye! Let her go!"

Justin's P.O.V
I made my way over to Za, after getting a text from Selena saying she's outside, she probably wants to go home. She's had a long week.
"Za, me and Sel are gonna head off. Thanks for inviting me bro." He nodded his head and insisted to see me out the door.
We pried our way trough the crowd and practically fell out the front door, the alcohol clearly taking a toll on my balance. I searched for Selena and found her crying with the same man I saw earlier in all black trying to take her.

"Aye! Let her go man!" Me and Za ran over to them. I pulled Selena away, making sure she was okay and hugged her while she calmed her self down. Za however, already had that bastard on the floor, throwing punches like it was his job.
"Shh, baby, everything's gonna be okay I promise." She sobbed into my chest. I went over to Za, looking at Chaz on the ground. I lent down next to him and whispered: "Do you not understand that I won't let you hurt her? I will never let you take her away from me, just give up." He stared as I just left Za to sort home out and went back to comfort Selena. I wrapped my arms around her telling her she was going to be okay while I watched Za walk over to us.

"He's out cold. I'm sorry I didn't know he would show up. Is she gonna be alright?" Za was swaying but still looked concerned as ever.

"I'll take care of her, thanks bro." We walked separate ways and I decided that I wasn't in a fit enough state to drive, it was a five minute walk anyway. Selena stayed clinging on to me. Crying into my shoulder.

We arrived at my house and I carried Selena up stairs, not saying a word since the party. I changed her into an tshirt of mine to sleep in and put her to bed. Before stripping down to my underwear and climbing under the covers myself.

She had tear stains on her cheeks and her eyes were swollen and red. I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her into my chest, placing a delicate kiss to her forehead. I shut my eyes wanting to sleep away the pain of the party when I felt her shuffle and kiss my cheek. My eyes fluttered open to meet hers and she hugged me so tight, I thought she'd never let go.

"You came." She sighed and hugged me tighter.
"What do you mean babe?" Furrowing my eyebrows in confusion.
"You came and you saved me." Her voice was shaking.
"Of course, I'll always protect you. You're my world." She sat straddling me, resting her hands on my cheeks. Her eyes scanned my face until the finally settled on my own. She pulled me towards her and pressed her soft lips against mine. After pulling away, I rested my forehead against hers.

"I love you so much." She whispered, cracking a tiny smile. A grin instantly crept on my face - I will never get bored of hearing those words leave her lips.

"I love you more."
