✰chapter one✰

Tom's POV

"Thomas, honey, can you go out to the market and get the groceries we need? I have the list on the fridge." My mum asked. " Sure! Don't worry I'll be back by dinner I promise."I say reassuringly. My mum smiles and pats my head. " Okay be careful." I nod and head outside. I don't mind doing chores like this, because I'm usually fast at getting them so I can go exploring afterwards for a bit before heading home. "Bye mum!" I yell. I grab my light blue bike out of the garage. I plop on and start peddling. Today's weather was nice it wasn't too windy or too hot, just the perfect temperature. I could feel the soft breeze from the wind go through my hair and the sun starting to come out from the clouds. I was hoping I'd find some peculiar, but nope. I usually would find some cool looking bugs or flowers but I guess today's not my luck.

★ Later★

"Thank you sir!" The man smiles and waves goodbye. I put the fruits into the basket built in to my bike with the rest of the vegetables and other goods. 'Yes! I got all that shopping done in just the nic of time! I can go to the meadow now.' I make sure everything's secure and then start moving again. 'The meadow' is just a huge meadow I go to when I'm bored. Plus, there's always pretty flowers to enjoy too! The more I peddle, the faster I get. I eventually get there and park my bike somewhere somewhat hidden. I run around smiling and laughing until I notice two devil-liked horns sticking up. 'What is that?..' my curiosity gets the best of me, and soon enough I'm getting closer and closer to the point where I'm almost touching the figure. 'It's a Human.. I think.' The 'thing' had Carmel hair styled into two horns, pale-ish skin, and they were wearing a light blue night gown something you'd see someone at a hospital wearing. 'Who is this guy?..' I stare at them for a good minute or two until.. " M-Mhmm.. M-Mom?.. is that you?" They opened their eyes, they were big and yellow. " AHH! Your not mom!" It looked at me in fear. " Shhh- uh it's ok! My name Thomas, I just came here to look at flowers... I didn't mean to scare you or anything it's just-" It looked confused, a little less scared, but overall was just plain confused. "T-Thomas?.." " Yes!thats my name, what's yours?" I asked. The more I looked at 'it' I think it is a boy.. He had cuts/bruises all over him too which concerned me. " My names.. Tord." I nodded. " Where did you come from? You look hurt, are you okay?" I asked. " I from lab.. I was experimented on." Tord looked at me with sorrowful eyes. " Oh.. I'm sorry, but is it ok if I ask what are those on your back?" We both look at Tord's back. Something white and fluffy were kind of sticking out of his back. " Oh! Wings, I have wings." Tord softly smiles. " Whoa! Can I see them?.." Tord nods and gets up. " Need help?" I ask since he seemed having hard time getting up. Tord shakes his head.

'POOF!'

Tord's wings appeared so gracefully. They were big, white, and fluffy looking. " Whoa.." I get up to get a better look at them. " So are you like an angel?.." 'I've never seen wings like these before..' " Uh- I'm more like a bird actually! You an feel them if you want too.." Tord looked kind of flustered after saying that, but I ignored it. " Yay! Thanks!" I replied joyfully. I get a little closer making Tord blush! I gently and slowly touched his wings making my hand go back and forth. " Hehe.." I smiled. I could tell Tord got a little uncomfortable which is understandable, so I stopped. " Hey wanna come home with me?" I didn't think I'd be bringing home a 'bird boy' but I don't think Tord has a home of his own to go back to.. " H-Home?.. Are you sure I don't think.." Tord stopped himself now looking down at the ground. " It's okay Tord don't worry! I'll just make sure my parents don't find out about this... It will be fine! I promise." I smile again just to make sure he feels safe. " Yeah.. Okay! I'll come with you." Tord smiles.
