it had been a few weeks since y/n's first encounter with the volleyball club. the presence of the team brightened the girl's day. she had been smiling more than she had in years.
her counselors and doctors noticed and were impressed with the female. they knew nothing of why she was smiling and didn't care to ask. they were happy enough she lifted the corner of her mouth on most occasions.
as the female watched the club rush around the court her eyes seemed to shine. her mouth was sat in a kind smile. her fingers carefully repotted the plants in her lap. this had become a routine for y/n l/n.
she'd enter the gym, take a seat in the stands or off to the side, before getting to work with the plants she'd brought that day. every now and then she'd focus her attention on something else. often times she'd help kiyoko as well. she couldn't do too much, of course, but she tried to help as much as she could.
the karasuno volleyball team had grew quite fond of the h/c-ette. they seemed to brighten up around the girl. they also had a large question in the back of their mind.
"hey, y/n! when you get a moment can we all talk to you?" her e/c eyes shoot upwards. she looked directly towards the team captain, nodding her head with a smile. she stood, brushing away the wrinkles of her clothes. her feet stepped lightly on the gym floor.
"y-yeah?" she questions, urging them to ask. the team walked towards each other before daichi stepped forward.
"we'd like for you to join the team as a manager!" daichi bows, hoping silently the girl would say yes. her mouth hung open as she tried to find the right words to say.
"i-i-i d-don't know. i'll h-have to t-t-think about i-it." she mumbles. y/n was in shock. she never expected to be asked to be manager. she knew she'd have to ask permission before she was able to respond, no matter how much she wanted to blurt out yes.
