The book has been missing for a week now and Patty has been avoiding me since then,guess she's angry but doesn't want to pour it all out on me.
Honestly, at first I took it as an act of friendship...like she's trying to claim down before we can get back to being friends.
"Wow,I told you she'll run off once she's gotten what she wanted... didn't I?"
Amanda voice came behind me like cold breeze. L quickly tried to ignore her by thinking of the one person that has been on my mind lately; jemmery...yup,the asthma boy.
After that day he had an attack,he was rushed to the school clinic and later in the day I decided to go check up on him.He was awake when I got in and immediately he began thanking me and I just brushed it off that it was just human to help.
After I told him I was about to go seeing he's doing just fine,he called me back and when I turned towards him he was coming towards me with some kind of expression on his face...one I couldn't tell. He came so close that I could feel his breath and hear his heart beat,at that moment I couldn't picture jemmery the way I used too,now he seemed cute,handsome, appealing and I couldn't move anymore, everything felt on a hold and that's when he smashed his lips unto mine. I wanted to pull away,I swear but I couldn't,my entire body was stiff and hot at the same time.It was when I felt his arms going round my waist that everything came back to me and I pushed him back but then he started apologizing on how he had feelings for me from the first he saw me which happens to be the first day I started schooling here,I...
"Am just going to sit with you today"
Hearing those words brought me back from my fantasy island but before I could protest she had already pulled a sit next to me and was already occupying it.
If you're wondering why I haven't reported Amanda,the answer is:I have,but she keeps claiming she didn't steal the book or even anything from me. The school even had to conduct a search on her and the entire hostel but... nothing.
"We both know that the book is with you so please just hand it back to me,I won't tell anyone."
"Me?... you really don't believe me,do you?"
"I don't... believe a single word you say."
I replied while poking at my meal and she just huffed and then went on to eat her food.
I looked over and then saw Patty leaving the cafeteria so early,it's something she's been doing lately.she been really scarce since she quit talking to me and honestly I don't like it and Amanda here has been persistent than ever on the fact of me and her being friends.she says Patty has nothing to do with me but I don't believe that. I stood up so I could follow Patty.
"What do you think you're doing?"
Amanda gushed as she pulled me back to my sit.
"Duh,am going to apologise to Patty so we can be friends again."
"It doesn't work that way..."
She trailed off and for the first time I saw a hint of sadness in her eyes.
"This is the exact stuff she pulled off with me and we stopped being friends...I think she did the same stuff to you so you could just quit being friends without her having any blame or anything... she's gotten what she wanted from you."
And that's when I snapped.
"How would you know!"
I suddenly screamed in annoyance that the whole students in the cafeteria turned towards us. I honestly don't know what got into me.
"I know enough to tell you to stay away from that girl"
And when I lost it completely.
"STAY AWAY FROM ME!!!"
I yelled and ran off towards where I saw Patty headed.i ran towards her hostel and found the door half way open,I entered inside but it was all dark.
"Patty?"
I called as I found the light switch and then turn the lights on only to find Patty staring at the wall and when I looked closely,what I saw next sent me into confusion and anger...but mostly anger.
"You found the book?"
"No,I took it from you"
She replied me coldly while still facing the wall. How could she do this...to me?,so she was with the book this whole time and then I went on to blame everything on Amanda!
"How could you do this?!,I thought we were friends?!"
She only laughed in a rather annoying way.
"Friend?,we were friends but now that I've gotten what I need,I don't need your friendship anymore..."
"Huh?"
I gasped in total horror.
"Yes,now you're just a piece of trash to me."
What!,me a piece of trash? Now she's done it.
"How dare you!, you worthless lier..."
I angrily lunged towards her but the very moment she faced me all my anger were replaced with total fear.
Before me stood a now scary Patty,her eyes where pale white and she instantly began to levitate above the ground,so also did the book beside her.
"Now,now, mergan you don't know how special you were... obviously you didn't study the book I gave you"
And my eyes grew wide in horror.
"The book holds the entire repetition of what has been happening to this very moment, events between you,me and of course Amanda, who has been the warning voice that am glad you ignored"
She was now laughing to her self.
And that's when it hits me, she's completely right... Carlisle was the image of Patty,the evil manipulating witch in the book... Meriden is me in the book and Arizona,happens to be Amanda...o my God!, Arizona died in the ending and if everything is going on the exact pattern,that means Amanda might be...,I couldn't even imagine Amanda dying the exact horrible death like in the book,it all my fault, she's been telling me to keep off but I was too stupid and dumb to see it even when I had it all right in front of me.
"Ha ha ha...you see it all don't you?"
I only blinked at the horror before me,Patty looked more a blood sucking demon than a human...she was growing longer nails from both her hands and feet while her body and eye remained pale.
"Every year I wait for new students so I can access harvest a piece of soul shard...every human has it but some are special... special enough to redeem me back to my one true form and glory,so I've been stealing the shards of so many through this worthless bond you call friendship but they were never enough."
She suddenly paused to chuckled in that scary tune that tensed me in fear...at that moment it occurred to me that it was close to this moment that Arizona rushed in to save Carlisle but ended up dying...I don't want that repeating at all so I rushed towards the door with the intention of locking it so Amanda won't repeat history but of course Patty prevented.
"No you won't dear"
Patty said with a quick wave of her hand and the next thing I knew was being thrown from where I was and unto a wall. God my head hurt.
"You know,when I met Amanda,she had a bright shard but it was as thou she knew what my plans were,she withdrew and then suddenly we became enemies...she was always bugging into my matters which caused me so much delay...but when I saw you,when I saw how special and rare you were,I knew there was no stopping me this time,and of course blah blah...u know the rest cause I believe you read the book...ha ha ha"
"Please"
I gasped in tears as I suddenly fell on my knees.
"Please?,ha ha ha...I just need the remaining part of your shard so that I can complete my transformation and then become whole!"
She screamed and immediately the book turned towards me,I slowly closed my eyes in tears.
