Quick note: yes, I named this chapter after a song.

You felt yourself being pulled up & saw Violet holding Klaus' wrist. Apparently, she managed to grasp a long curtain & tie it around her waist. The very second she got both of you up to the edge of the road, the rest of the house fell to pieces at the bottom of the cliff.

"Are you guys ok?" Sunny babbled. Your heartbeat started to slow back down until you saw that Klaus had a worried look on his face. You then remembered he read your note.

"Klaus, I'm so sorry! I didn't know you found my note." you started feeling like a deer caught in the headlights. However, your worries lowered when Klaus responded.

"It's ok. Even though I don't feel for you in a romantic way, you're still my adoptive brother & I do care deeply about you." he said with a warm smile. You could help but hug him & thank him for being such a sweet kid.

After the heartwarming moment ended, the 4 of you set off towards Curdled Cave in hopes of finding Josephine before Olaf did. While on the boat, you helped Klaus get the splinters out of his palm. One in particular hurt him so much that he clenched onto your shoulder as he hissed through his teeth.

"It's ok, that was the last one." you reassured him. You tore off a small piece of your sleeve & gently wrapped it around his hand. After that, you shortly ended up at Curdled Cave. It didn't take long at all before you found Josephine.

"I knew you'd be able to decode the note!" she said with glee. You felt relieved that she was still alive, but wondered how she was able to get here. The Baudelaires seemed very happy to know their aunt wasn't dead.

You were so deep in thought that when you heard your name, you didn't know what was going on. Apparently, Josephine was planning on living in Curdled Cave, but the Baudelaires seemed to spook her by telling her that it was for sale.

"Don't you think real estate agents would be coming here?" Violet repeated what you didn't hear. You nodded, remembering that Josephine was terrified of real estate agents. After quickly giving in, Josephine followed the 4 of you back to the boat.

"Klaus, what happened to your hand?" Josephine asked, worry spreading across her face once again.

"Oh, I had a few splinters. (Y/n) removed them for me." Klaus replied, sending a sweet smile your way, making you blush. A few minutes later, Josephine spotted the leeches, screaming in fear.

"At least we haven't eaten recently." Violet said. That's when Josephine admitted that she ate a banana. Everyone started to panic as the leeches began to swarm around the boat. You all battled to get the boat to flee the area, but to no avail.

Suddenly, in the distance, you saw a boat & began calling out to it. In the nick of time, the boat arrived to save you. However, as you looked up, your colors drained when you saw the all too familiar icy blue eyes of Count Olaf.
