In the year of 2011 my mama found out she was expecting her #11 baby. It was exciting , This baby would be the tie breaker for our family. I don't remember to much of that time, as I was only 3 years old, then later turned 4.
My mother had had some issues before her pregnancy with Gideon, and had a miscarriage. At around the 2 month mark of her pregnancy, she started having problems and almost lost the baby. She Prayed that she would be able to keep the baby. With God's help she was able to keep Gideon.
Around March 2012 we found out the gender of #11. It was a boy! My brothers and sisters gathered around in the living room in await of the news of what there new sibling would be. (Me, being a late raiser was still in my room.) When my eldest sister told them "It's a BOY!" they were so excited, they started jumping and dancing with joy. I still didn't really understand what was going on, but it was something exciting for sure!
Around my mama's 8th month of pregnancy she found out the news. She thought she was going in for a regular, ordinary ultrasound, until she noticed something was wrong. The nurse sent her to one of the ultrasound specialists. My mama was starting to get worried. What was going to happen? What was wrong with her little boy? The specialist finally broke the news after a few more examinations. The baby had 2 holes in his heart and that he was going to need heart surgery after he was born. They also mentioned that heart problems is often a sign of Down Syndrome. My mama didn't know what to do. She was so shocked and scared of what was going to happen. She couldn't help it, she broke down and cried.
