Nightmare Lane

Chapter 1

"C'mon Phiphi! Don't be such a wuss!" Damon whined as he leaned against his Harley Davidson motorcycle that was parked in the schools parking lot.
"Hey! Don't be such an ass!" Astride said coming to her friends defence. Although Astride loved Xeraphina to death, she had to admit she wasn't sure she wanted her to hang out with the rest of them on Friday. It was going to be Friday the 13th and if she was being honest, Phina could be a bit of a buzzkill and Astride wanted to have some fun.
"I'm sorry it's just won't it be a little creepy?" Xeraphina asked. She wasn't big on creepy things or horror movies either. Xeraphina, with her preppy baby blue button up with tiny flowers, cute ballerina flats, and burgundy skinny jeans, paired with pearl earrings and necklace looked quite innocent. She had fiery ginger hair that was a jungle of curls with pale skin and green eyes. There was no doubt she was Irish.

"Look you have nothing to worry about" Damon said stepping closer to her and wrapping his arm around her shoulders, "If any monsters come after you I'll take care of them." She smiled at that and leaned into him, "Ok" she replied slightly blushing.

Those two always had a thing for each other but nothing was official yet. She was your typical good girl, who never really did anything remotely bad. And Damon well he was that guy who wore leather jackets and black ripped jeans and rode a motorcycle and everyone knew he'd mess them up if he had a good reason. Damon had jet black hair and always had it ruffed up, as if he'd woke up and didn't bother to brush it, but the look suited him well.

"Ugh, gross guys get a room" Astride said not enjoying the eye ball sex going on in front of her. "Awe what's wrong Ass? Missing Sammy I see." Damon said. She hated that nickname he gave her. Right when she was about to shoot back at him with some snappy comeback someone grabbed her from behind and spun her around.

"Sammy put me down!" She screamed in between laughter. Her boyfriend was always sneaking up on her like this, and she couldn't deny that she loved it.
"Did you miss me?" He whispered in her ear after setting her back down, "To death" she smiled and kissed him passionately on the lips. Sam had been gone for seven weeks visiting his mother in Australia and Astride wasn't lying when she said she missed him to death. He had sandy brown hair that was always styled up in a quiff, he had a very nice sense of style. He wore skinny jeans and brand name shirts and occasionally could dress it up when he wanted too.

"Ewwww, and you tell us to get a room?" Xeraphina squealed as she hid her eyes. Sam pulled away and laughed at her innocence, she had no idea the sort of things he's like to do with Astride... No one could deny the fact that Astride was beautiful, she had long dirty blond hair that was naturally wavy and she had the bluest eyes anyone had ever seen. Not to mention her boho look made most girls envy her even more.

"So, we all on for Friday?" Sam asked directing the question mainly at Xeraphina. Everyone nodded, and just as he was about to ask where the rest of the gang was when Laila, Jack and Jeff came bursting out the front doors to the school.
"What's up!" Laila yelled, she was so carefree that she was an instant mood booster. She had that don't give a crap attitude and had a really good sense of fashion in the gothic hippie department. She had black hair that wasn't too long but still long enough and she had pale skin and dark brown eyes. Everyone knew that Laila Packers could start her own little rebellion if she wanted to, but of course that would involve work, and Laila was extremely lazy.

"Hey Laila!" Sam screamed as he gave her a huge bear hug making her scrunch up her nose. "Yeah yeah missed you too... Now get off." She said prying him off of her. "I really did miss you, girl" he said winking at her. He loved making her uncomfortable. ",of course you missed me, I'm awesome" Laila said flipping her hair dramatically. "Now onto more pressing matters-" she was cut off by Jeff and Jacks big battle cries as they tackled Sam to the ground. After they wrestled a bit they all got up laughing, discussing how much they missed each other. Jack and Jeff were brothers, both had dark brown hair tanned skin and the beach boy surfer kind of style. The only way you could tell them apart were there eyes. Jack had beautiful Hazel eyes and Jeff had dark green.

They kept laughing until they noticed the death glare Laila was giving them. "Oh I'm sorry for interrupting... Your majesty" Jeff said laughing at his little joke. He always called Laila "Queen" or "Majesty" but no one else really found it funny. Most of the time they just laughed at how much Jeff laughed at it. He was a bit of bone head, wasn't the brightest crayon in the box and was more of an 'act now ask questions later' kind of guy but nonetheless he was one of the happiest people Astride knew.

"As I was saying, is everyone all set for Friday night?" She asked. Everyone nodded, after discussing a little more about what they would be doing tomorrow night they all went there separate ways home.

"Stop it!" Astride giggled as Sam nibbled on her ear and kissed her neck. He laughed but Astride cut him off as she crashed her mouth against his. It has been so long since they've kissed like this. That's why she was quite upset when Sam pulled away to answer his phone. After his conversation was over he went and sat down on Astride's bed across from her. "That was my dad, he wants me to come home for hockey and pizza night." Astride frowned, "Couldn't I come?" She had been to countless hockey and pizza nights at Sam's fathers place but this time she couldn't. Sam explained that his dad just wanted father and son time since he had been gone for a while. She reluctantly waved goodbye not wanting him to leave, as he pulled out of her driveway.

The next day they all met up at their usual spot in the schools parking lot. "Yo Jack!" Jeff hollered after his brother as he made his way to join the others. "Hey Jeff, what's up?"

"You got the stuff..?" Jeff whispered, Jack nodded and when they arrived to their group smiled and acted as if Jeff hadn't asked anything.

"See ya'll tomorrow night" Laila said giving an evil grin and walking over to her jet black 67' Chevy Impala. Everyone was excited for that night. Even Xeraphina.
