Hero and Jo's love story

The morning after

Jo's pov
I wake up to the smell of coffee and bacon. Hero is walking towards me with a tray of food and a cup of coffee. "Hey beautiful good morning." He says to me. "Wow babe that looks delicious." I reply. He really went all out just like he did for dinner last night. He made me waffles topped with whipped cream and strawberries, an omelet, bacon, home fries and toast. "I don't know if I can eat all this though. It's enough to feed a small army." I joke with him. "We can share" he says. As I finish my orange juice I notice there is something in the bottom of the glass. It looks like a ring. I turn towards Hero and he starts to get down on one knee and looks up at me with his adorable green eyes and says with pure conviction "Josephine Langford I have loved you since the day I first met you in person, we became really close friends while filming After and touring the world together and the day we finally admitted we had feelings for each other was one of the best days of my life. I want you to be my wife. Will you marry me?" I am shocked into silence and he just stares at me with a hopeful then worried expression when I take too long to answer. He blurts out " I know where young but we can" I cut him off "Hero of course I'll marry you I've wanted this for awhile now." I admit. He smiles and pulls me into his arms for a kiss after rinsing off the ring he places it onto my finger. "I love you my fiance" I say to Hero and he smiles and says "I love you more my fiance."

Hero's pov
I was up two hours before Jo setting everything up and making sure it was perfect. I was a little afraid at first slipping the ring into her juice but I figured I'd be right there when she drank it and she always looks at what she eats or drinks so I figured she would see it before anything bad happened. I was nervous and almost told her to stop drinking it when she was close to finished but then she noticed the ring. I immediately dropped down to my knee and declare my feelings and intent to marry her. When she didn't answer at first a million thoughts ran through my head. "I know where young but we can" I blurt out but before I can finish she cut's me off saying "Hero of course I'll marry you I've wanted this for awhile now." I reach up and kiss her then head to rinse her ring off so it won't be sticky from the Orange juice. I place it on to her finger and admire how she smiles and looks at it. "It's perfect" she states. "How did you know my ring size" she asks me. "I had Kath sneak a few of your rings to match the sizes." She swats at me playfully and says "so my family knows already then?" I chuckle and say "of course Jo I had to get your parents permission." I can't believe it she's really going to be my wife. We will never be apart again. All these months doing long distance has been draining on me and her. We are both better when we are together and that is how it will always be for us. "Well since we are going to be married we have to discuss something." I tell her. She looks nervous but I shake my hand and say "it's nothing bad we just need to discuss where we will live after we are married."

Jo's pov
I hadn't even thought about our living arrangements once we are married. I was too excited that I was actually going to be his wife and him my husband. "Well Hero I know you don't want to leave London but a lot of our career happens in California. So I think we should buy a home there. And then we can visit London and Perth whenever we can." I tell him. He sits and contemplates the decision "Ok we will buy something in California." He agrees. I didn't think he would agree that easily I know how much he wants to stay in London. "If you have any other suggestions you can tell me." I say to him. "No he says your right we basically fly back and forth anyways at least when we are married we will be flying together and not have to be apart." He wraps me in his strong arms and pulls me closer for a kiss. "We should call your mum, dad, Mercy and Titan to let them know we are engaged." I tell him. "No need" he states "I told them all what my plans were and they gave me the thumbs up." "So do you have a date in mind or time frame?" He asks me. "This isn't just my decision Hero I want to know what you want too." I whine. "Ok how about a summer wedding? A little after your birthday how does August,25,2020 sound? He asks me. That's only 6 months away will I have enough time? I'm not a fan of huge fancy weddings so I'm pretty sure with me, my mom, Martha, Kath and Mercy we will get everything done in time. "Yes Hero that will be great." We have so much work to do in so little time. I grab my planner and Hero laughs at me he's always teasing me about my planner he's such a dork sometimes and I love it. I mark August, 25th with a heart in my calendar and write the day we become one as Mr. and Mrs. Hero looks over at it and smiles showing his lovely dimples. I hope our children get those dimples I think to myself. We are to be married so obviously we are going to have children one day. We pack up our things and get ready to leave on the helicopter to go back home. I didn't even think about this Hero has to fly back tommorow. I'm so sad all of a sudden and he notices quickly. "What's wrong baby? You aren't having doubts about us getting married are you?" He asks frantically. "No, no nothing like that. I'm just upset you are leaving again so soon and we just got engaged." I whine. "I actually was going to surprise you he says." "What?" I ask him. "I'm not leaving you ever again." "We will never be parted from this day on" he replies using one of the lines from After We Collided it was the tattoo Hardin got for Tessa. It's crazy how a chance movie roll that I almost didn't have led me to find the love of my life. "Well the fans will find out sooner than later that we are engaged" I tell him as we land near my house in L.A. "We will figure it all out soon maybe we can have Anna announce it and to ask them to give us some respect and privacy."  He says. "Yeah that sounds good but let's hold off awhile longer. I don't want to add any extra stress to the wedding planning than necessary." I tell him. He grabs our bags and we head inside. We decide to take a trip next week to London to grab his stuff and Diesel and bring them back here. We are finally going to be together forever and I couldn't be happier.
