Fanfic: heroes of olympus <3

Chapter 4: frank POV

I am jolted awake by the sound of tons of metal crashing on the beach. I rise slowly out of my sleeping bag on the floor of the ares cabin and follow the rest of the cabin to the door to see what happened. Everyone anxiously walks outside still in their pajamas. I push myself through the crowd of whispering people who look at me and then back at the scene. I finally get to the front to see a huge pile of celestial bronze. But, its moving and there are two people hopping off the top of it. The metal moves and stands up and thats when i realize its Festus. Festus runs around and soars through the sky spreading his wings and spraying fire through the air. He looks like he is having so much fun up there he will probably never come down. I realize seconds later that Leo must be still alive, hoping for the best. I run towards the people to see that it's Leo and a girl i've never seen before. The smile spread across myself is so huge it covers my entire face. The others run along side with me and hazel grabs my hand and smiles at me widely. We all run toward Leo and give him a huge bear hug.

I could actually mean that literally because when my emotions go crazy well i change into things that i don't even decide to change into. Everyone laughs and i change back into human form. Leo and the girl tell their story making us all laugh constantly. Hazel grabs my hand and i look at her. I bend down a little bit and she whispers in my ear "Calypso". At first i don't understand what she is saying but then i remember Hazel telling me about her and Leo and i realize that Leo had gone to save her from her island where she had been supposedly trapped forever.
"So while i rode heroically onto the island i landed perfectly on Festus and picked up calypso and we rode off into the sunset" leo said putting his hands on his hips and looking at the sky and mocking superman. Which jason responded back as "hey that's MY thing" which everyone laughed at.
Then calypso turned us back to what Leo had just said
" that is not at ALL what happened!" Calypso said playfully. "He CRASH landed on the island AND we had to take 10 pitstops because his dragon started malfunctioning several times!" She said hitting leo on the shoulder playfully. And we all laughed.
"Some son of Hephesus" Annabeth murmured to everyone but leo and we all laughed. We stayed like that all day but it felt like a lifetime. Leo cracking jokes, us filling them in on what they missed, and making jokes about gods. And all day hazel and frank held hands and hung out with their friends. For the first time in a long time frank felt relaxed... He felt... Happy.
