Papadum is an old Malay teacher in school shown by his whitening hair. He is also shown to have no chin. His most distinguishing feature is that he has a moustache, wears a white sarong, and often harbours traditional Malaysian outfits.

Mr Papadum is shown as a cranky teacher who speaks in a typical Indian accent. He often moves his heads when he speaks. He can teach History and apparently, Chinese.

He believes that he should be deeply respected by his peers and students because of his age and his experience being an RSM in the military. However, because of his brutal trait that he gained during his military life, Papadum usually exaggerates small things into big deals (an example is shown when he takes his prata business seriously despite JianHao making a small mistake).

Before his previous occupation as a prata vendor, Papadum served in the military for 20 years. He was a RSM (Regimental Sergeant Major) and claimed that many "feared" him so much that nobody dared to challenge him. This is when he began to develop a strict and brutal demeanor while training his recruits, forcing them to do rigorous exercises under his vicious commands. After his discharge, he began to sell prata, although most of his workers hate him because of the same personality that he'd gained during his military life.
