A/N: Thank you guys for giving my story a chance, and, I'm suprised you're still reading it, haha. Anywho, my apologies for making this chapter really short! T_T
I’m not quite sure who’s even more absurd, him, or me who impulsively accepted his offer without a single thought and now I am tagging along with a peculiar man who is taking me to the unknown. I have tried numerous times to ask where we’re going but to no avail, he would simply shake his head and tell me something along the lines of “You’re going to see eventually” or “Just be patient, kid” which seemed to aggravate me even more, being that he seems like he was around my age, in spite of that, he’s acting all wise and intellectual as if he was a man way beyond his years “Hey, uh-whatever your name is, can we please take a break?” I said quickening my steps to catch up to him “No can do, we’re almost there, and it’s Simon” Simon said without glancing back at me “Ok, listen, we’ve been walking for hours! You’re taking me to somewhere I don’t even know, heck, you could be-“ I said pausing as my cheeks turned crimson red and at that, he at long last turned back to face me “We have been walking for only a few minutes and-“ He said staring at me from head to toe “You’re not really my type” And with that, he kept walking as I put aside and overlooked the blistering and scorching anger about to scream from inside of me.
After what appeared to be long ceaseless hours, the odd man suddenly came to a halt making me collide with his back “We’re here” Simon announced turning to me as he unconcealed a wide grin “What do you think?” I looked at the brick walls with moss flowing out at the sides, holes and crack exposing only black. The dark and grey windows clinging to the house were full of dirt and spider webs. It seemed like this crumbling building crawled out a movie about a zombie apocalypse “Wow, so pretty, you took me to a 5-star-“ I said before noticing the burnt out neon sign of this building “A stripper club?..” I ask staring vacantly at him “Not exactly, it shut down a while ago, and we just happened to be lucky and move in here” He said opening the door and gesturing for me to enter “After you, milady” He said as I walked in sending daggers at him.
“We’re home!” Simon said merrily, it seemed his personality was the only thing that was bright and cheery here “Home?” I said lifting my eyebrows “Simon-“ I froze as I felt something’s breath tickling my neck making me shriek piercingly and this made Simon snicker “Who’s this?” A deep voice said as they tied their long arms around my waist and began gradually raising their hand to my chest “Hmm..An A? Or maybe a B-cup?” The voice said uncertainly making me flee from his arms and turn to face the pervert “Cody, don’t harass her yet” Simon said trying to hold in his laughter as he switched on the dim lights making me get a comprehensible view of the roguish idiot “Ok, don’t worry, I won’t, I mean she doesn’t even-“ Cody said before facing me and giving me an remorseful look . And on that cue, Simon walked towards us and pointed at me “Cody, this is Astrid, Astrid, this is Cody” He said as Cody offered to shake hands only to put it back sorrowfully after I directed my eyes away from him “I get it! I get it!” Cody said raising his hands in surrender.
“Well, then, how about I show you around our gang’s headquarter?” Simon said gleefully waiting for my reply “Simon..Listen, I don’t think-“ I said as yet another surprise was there waiting for me “Ugh, another freak?!” A girl with brown hair tied into two high bouncy pigtails and vivid bright grey eyes said making her way down the stairs “Ever” Simon said in a -almost exasperated- low tone. The girl slowly came up to me and pulled me down by my hair to her petite height “Hmph, who’re are you?” She said in a toxic manner “A-Astrid…” I said trying to hide my fright and to my rescue, Simon explained “She’s a girl whom I’ve been wanting to ask to join us a while back” And with that, the girl clicked her tongue and walked past us as I unknowingly sighed “Scary, huh?” Simon said grinning “Y-Yeah, I thought she would be nice, but, I guess, you can’t judge a book by its cover here” I said as I became aware that coming here has been a dreadfully wrong pick.
“Simon..I don’t really think I want to be here” I said admitting my fault in making a thoughtless choice “What do you mean?” Simon said glancing at me with a sad look in his eyes “I mean, this just feels wrong, I don’t feel right here, it’s just-“ I said before gulping “I-I’m also really worried about my Mom, who might be running around searching for me all over the place” I said as my heart started to pound against my chest, aching to say the words that might take me back to my daily life “I want to go home-“ As I was about to holler, the doors of the building slammed open and in my stead, a woman with red-framed glasses started yelling “Guys! We’re in trouble! We need to run!”
