CHAPTER TWO- A COLOUR OF JUSTICE

Aaryan and Preksha were in the same college but in a different course, they always do lunchtogether at recess and walk to their home together. almost everyone was convinced that they are secretly dating. but Preksha wasn't happy with this daily routine, but at the same time, she was also too scared to confess or propose. 

one night after their shift, they were heading back, the road was little wet and reflecting lights of halogen street lamps as it rained in the morning.

Preksha said with an utter in her tone "hey do you want to have some coffee right now?",Aaryan surprisingly looked at her and said "oh wow since when you started doing charity?,besides we just came out working for a five-hour shift in a coffee shop", Preksha nodded herhead and gave an evil smile and replied "so, how about beer?", Aaryan looked at her like she juststole his idea and next thing they remember is they sitting in Three Musketeers with two beertowers and a couple of cheese fries on their table. It was Friday night so the pub was full ofcrowds, people chattering around them and romantic Bollywood music was setting the mood asmost of the people there were couples, its usual couples on Friday night. the waiter poured beerin their mugs. they both raised the mugs and Aaryan said looking in Preksha's eyes "here is toour thirteen years of friendship", Preksha clung the mugs and continued "and hope to becomesomething more", Aaryan was sipping his beer while she said that so he cringed and asked"what you mean?, Preksha replied in frustrated tone while finishing her sip "don't you ever getromantic?, did god forgot to programe romance in your brain?, Aaryan replied with a smile"well I don't think any good girl would like me, I have way too busy schedule and i don't think ican find a girl with flexible schedule, it's really a tough luck", Preksha quickly replied "yeah it'sa good point that's why you should be with someone who understands you and known you for along term", just listening her Aaryan took a french fry and shoved it in her mouth and replied "idon't have anyone that close, well except you", Preksha got a bit pissed with his unsatisfyingreply so she started bottom's up, she finished the mug exactly in seven seconds along withAaryan's mouth open. she refilled the mug and asked Aaryan while chewing a fry "what is yourdream date by the way", Aaryan also finished the mug and replied while refilling "ahh I don'tknow, I don't think I have any, because first it requires a date for that and I think we alreadytalked about that, but I am sure you must have thought about your, so what is it?", Preksha wentfull dreamy and replied, "I don't know what exactly it should be but I like hot air balloons, so itwould be momentous if anything like that happens" Aaryan replied her on this "that's so nice,but I still can't understand why aren't you dating anyone?, there are many guys in college onlywho have a crush on you", Preksha replied with strong eye contact and narrowed eyebrows"because I don't like them", Aaryan replied with seriousness "I can only say this but whoeveryou like, he must be liking you too", it was the first time Preksha got this feeling that Aaryanmight be liking her too, they finished their remaining beer, sang a couple of their jam songs onthe table and then after that, they headed back to home. the whole time while walking their wayback, Preksha didn't stop talking about how much she hates love stories. when they werecrossing the street, two guys in a car were coming right into them, their reckless driving andcontinuous honking was showing that they were drunk too. Preksha and Aaryan saw the car andPreksha was terrified as if it was going to be her last night, she quickly held Aaryan's hand andpulled him close and screamed "I like you Aaryan, I never had guts to tell you this but I guessit's now or never, so I like you a lot!", Aaryan was shocked as hell after hearing that, but seeingthe situation that they are in verge to die he collected himself quickly, he thought that now canbe a perfect time, Golu was drunk, drivers were drunk too, he could easily cover everything. asthe car reached nearly them, he had no choice, he grabbed Golu by her hip and pulled her close,Golu's expression was like she was ready to die together, she was looking in his eyes andsuddenly Aaryan pulled her back, lifted his fist and all his veins of his hand started luminescingNeon colour, Golu couldn't believe on her eyes what she was seeing, he channelled his energy tohis fist, she could see the colour flowing in his veins, he punched the car's bonnet in one shotand the car stopped in front of him, all wrecked up, smoke coming from the car, he saw that theguys inside the car are passed out because of sudden shock. next moment Golu was standingshocked beside him and watching his glowing hand, Aaryan quickly ran to the guys inside theircar and took them out of that car, he laid them on a bus stop seat and took one guy's phone andcalled the emergency number from his phone. he grabbed Golu's hand and took her home.Next morning both Preksha and Aaryan were in a hangover, but Golu was in shock. she woke upin Aaryan's bed at his house, all confused with a headache. She sat on bedside as Aaryan came inthe room. she saw his fist and her eyes popped wide open, even with that unnatural punch therewasn't even a single scratch on his hand. She was a little scared at that time, she slid to the bedcorner and asked while biting her lips "what happened last night?", Aaryan came closer to bedand sat on a chair in front of her and replied "well Golu it was a rough night, we were drunk andwalking on the street and suddenly out of nowhere a car came towards us, I guess it had somebreak failures but we saw that and quickly ran behind a street lamp pole, the car came towardsus but it hit the street pole in front of us and wrecked, we were lucky and so the drivers, wepulled them outside and called the emergency number, that's all about last night", Golu stood onher knees and replied with angry tone "I guess you are right about everything except one, youforgot about punching that car with your fucking glowing hand, does this ring any bell?",Aaryan didn't know what to say now, he thought she won't remember anything but now he wasin a deep shit!. Golu stood and replied "I wasn't that drunk that I can't differentiate betweenwhat's real and what's not, anyway if you are saying so then you must be right, but justremember if there is even 0.001% of the possibility that what I saw was real then I want you totell me when you think I am ready", Aaryan just lowered his head and nodded his head in yes,Golu continued while scratching her head "by the way, in any chance did I said anythingembarrassing", Aaryan knew what is she talking about but still he replied "ahh what youmean?", Preksha quickly changed the topic and replied "oh fuck, we are late for college, I amgoing home to get fresh and you take out your dad's car, I can't walk at this condition", Aaryanagreed and escorted her till her house. Aaryan went to his garage and took off the cover from anoff white 1968 Dodge Charger RT, as beautiful and sexy as retro, it was his father's, of course. ashe turned on the engine, it's noise could be heard till Golu's house and she knows he is coming.he took the car in Golu's driveway and honked, Golu came in an all-black casual andsurprisingly Aaryan was wearing all black too, their colour code was soo matching with the car,they put on black shades and headed for college. When they reached college, every eye was onthem, even though they both felt like couples at that time, and yes they both were happy aboutthat feeling. almost everyone kept asking them about the car and their relationship, theyanswered about their car but just smiled at relationship one. They ate together as usual atlunchtime. they went to work in the car too, it was a perfect day for them. After the shift, Aaryandropped Golu in her driveway as the landlord doesn't allow any male to step in his dorm. Heparked the car in the driveway and turned off the engine and everything went silent. Aaryanlooked outside felling a cold wind striking his face and said "it was so nice right?, the feeling ofboyfriend and girlfriend, I enjoyed it today, I felt so connected with you", Golu was amazed byhis reply, she held his hand and said, "I feel the same way Aaryan, I do". it was a moment, theyboth wanted to kiss each other, but way too scared to initiate, they both even mutually camecloser but neither of them had guts. Aaryan thought about a plan and he said "oh by the waytomorrow is our day off right?, I am thinking of doing something interesting, let's do it, meetme tomorrow at eight in the evening, don't be late", Golu agreed and she left the car, they bothwaved to each other good night but he didn't leave till he saw her coming into her room.Next morning was quiet, it was Sunday, their day off from college and work too. Golu tried tocontact Aaryan several times but he wasn't at home and neither he was picking her calls. He wasbusy arranging something for the date. The sun went off and finally, he called Golu, "where thehell is you, I have been calling you since morning, I hope you remember that you asked me tomeet you at eight", Aaryan hanged the call, Golu was confused by this action. but suddenly sheheard a car honk outside her driveway, she peeked outside and saw Aaryan in his car waiting forher. she came outside in a red one-piece with ponytail and her phone in the left hand, Aaryanwas stunned after looking her, she sat inside and Aaryan said "wow, you looking very stunning",Preksha replied while touching Aaryan's hairs "thanks man, well you planned something for mefor the first time so had to look good, you looking charming too Aaryan, with this black trouserand black t-shirt and black blazer jacket, what's with your slick back shining hairs? looks veryrefreshing", he also replied the same answer "well I planned something for you for the first timeso I had to look special right", he turned on the car and headed to city side lake, on midwayPreksha asked "may I ask where are we going?", Aaryan smiled and replied, "you will know in ashort time". Preksha turned on the radio and listened to old Pancham da songs all the way.about half an hour they reached the lakeside. Preksha was stunned after looking at a giant hotair balloon ready on standby. she quickly turned her head to Aaryan and said "is this our's?,Aaryan held her hand and escorted her to the basket of the hot air balloon. she stepped in andhugged Aaryan very tightly and said "This is the best night of my life!"Aaryan replied to herwhile turning her head to the other side of the lake "your night has just started ''. she looked onthe other side of the lake and saw little orange lights on the ground, those lights started glowingand floating in the air. It was floating lantern day. Most of the couples were there on the ground,burning those little chambers and writing their names on those little parachutes. While otherswere on the ground, Preksha and Aaryan were in mid-air, hugging and looking down at thosesmall lanterns. The night went colder, it was getting chill up there but their hug was keepingthem warm. After a while Aaryan pulled a wooden lodge, there was enough space on the basketfor them as well as a small pet table. He brought out two plates of spaghetti and a bottle of wine.They sat on gas cylinders facing each other and started their mid-air dinner. They talked abouthow he arranged everything and when did he plan all this. After dinner, they cleared the basketand just stood side by side and looked down. now the small balloons were coming up, theyalmost reached to their hot air balloon. The cool wind started flowing and most of the smallballoons surrounded the hot air balloon. it was a moment to remember, they looked at eachother and came a little closer. this time Preksha wasn't scared but she was shy as hell, Aaryanthought it's time to take initiative, he grabbed her by her hip and pulled her to hug, he removedfew hairs that were stuck to her side lips and at that moment they both said at the same moment"I like you very much", they both smiled and rubbed their nose together. Aryaan held her jawand kissed her, it was the first kiss of both, she hugged him tightly while kissing. they couldn'tstop kissing as they didn't want to end this moment. but between all this, Aaryan's heart ratewas reaching the limits, his blood started pumping vigorously all through his body that his cheststarted luminescing. Preksha's eyes were closed so she didn't notice but he did, so he quicklyturned her around and started kissing her lips while hugging her from the back. Preksha wassurprised by his move so she said "well that's something new, I shouldn't have called youunromantic, you did surprise me this time", Aaryan didn't know what to say so he justcontinued kissing her. the hot air cylinders were soon going to exhaust so they started goingdown to the ground. just before they could reach the ground they kissed for last time in there.they sat in the car and headed back home. Aaryan parked in the driveway. before she could leaveAaryan asked "its hard to couldn't see you 24X7 around me, and even your landlord doesn'tallow me to come to your room, so I was thinking that my house is too big to live alone so maybeyou could come live with me?", Golu was hanged after listening to him, she didn't know what tosay, she just left the car without saying anything. this time Aaryan was too embarrassed to waitfor her to see her in her room. he left the driveway ASAP. he reached home, changed his clothesto night wears and just laid down in bed looking at sealing and thinking if it was too fast to askher for moving in with him. this question just rot his whole mind, he couldn't get that thoughtout of his mind, he thought "I should just go tomorrow and tell her that I was just foolingaround, that I wasn't serious", after a couple of hours he heard his doorbell ring, he wentdownstairs and opened the door and he saw Golu standing there with all her luggage andsmiling, she came closer and said "even for me it's hard to couldn't see you 24X7 around me", bysaying that Aaryan took her luggage to his room and they both ended their perfect date bysleeping in the same bed.The next day was bloody Monday, their weekend was over, now they were back in their normallife. but there was one difference, they had each other this time, they woke up together, hadbreakfast together and went to college together, it was so great for them, not acting like couplesbut they were couples now. days passed just like that, they used to make breakfast and dinnertogether, sometimes even burn it so they order from restaurant sometimes, besides cooking theyspend their time cuddling in bed or sofa if it matters. they were having the best days of theirlives. Soon Saturday night came and they planned to go to a disco. They put on their partyclothes like silver one piece with jacket and denim with a leather jacket and headed for AgentJack's night club. The club was on the 11th floor of a tall tower. The club was surrounded bymany small towers. as they were driving they noticed dark clouds and continuous lightning upthere as if the storm was coming. it was a teenage night party, as they reached they sawteenagers kissing in parking in doorways and even in the pool. they entered as a couple there.people were dancing on the dance floor, so they went there too. it was a blast, dancing with eachother with each other's hand in hand. After hopping on Bollywood songs for a few hours,suddenly Aaryan sensed something bad, he sensed some kind of evil presence. whether it washis telepathy working or just a feeling. after that he couldn't focus on fun, his mind wastroubled, he was distracted, even Preksha noticed this sudden change in behaviour and askedhim "what happened Aaryan? is it too noisy here?", Aaryan didn't want to bother her so he said"no I think I just need some air so I will be out for few minutes'', Preksha was a bit concernedabout him so she kissed him before he went outside. he took a lift to get to the terrace of thetower. he felt some mild raindrops falling on his cheeks. he was roaming here and there whenhe shockingly saw an asteroid like a fireball in stratosphere coming towards him but strangely itwasn't making any noise. that fireball asteroid came so quickly that hardly any normal peoplewould notice it. it crashed behind the tower in the alley. The alley was clear and silent, only theburning of that fireball was making a sizzling noise. Aaryan was just staring at it when suddenlythat fireball started moving. He was very suspicious at that moment. just in a moment, he hearddim growling coming from that fireball, the fire was extinguished and Aaryan's eyes were wideopen when he noticed that it wasn't a fireball as two giant sharp claws were revealing in thedark alley. he quickly triggered his energy after watching the possible threat, channelled it to hislegs and made a jump from the terrace to the alley. he landed on the street by making a smallcrater on road. he went closer to take a good look at it. when he got closer suddenly two bigwhite arms revealed from that fireball and punched Aaryan on the chest and he was thrown tenmeters away from it. he quickly stood on his ground and watched it rise. it wasn't just a fireballwith arms, two enormous giant legs lifted that fireball and it turned around. it wasn't a fireball,it looked like an ancient mutated Yeti, white as snow but red veins glowing just like thatmutated megalodon. that mutated yeti had giant claws and sharpest teeth that Aaryan had everseen, two small horns on head and body covered by white fur with red glowing veins andbloodshot eyes and no mercy expression on his face, he was at least eight feet tall, beefed as thehulk, but much evil, he was staring at him continuously as if he was waiting for an order. theweather was not easy on Aaryan, in a few seconds it started raining, not just raining, it waslightning and thundering too. after few minutes of just staring, the mutated yeti startedgrowing, but it was soo loud in the club because of music that no one had any idea that a giantmutated yeti is just outside the club. he was looked very scary with that look on his face, it wasclear that he was there to kill him. he was not a friend, he was a foe, Aaryan sensed that veryquickly when Yeti clung his claws towards him, Aaryan pumped his energized blood all over hisbody and every single vein of his body started luminescing neon colour. Yeti growled at him soloud that a shock wave stunned him for a second and yeti charged towards him, Aaryan toodidn't back off, he knew that it's a threat and he had to eliminate it so he also charged towardsyeti. they both charged towards each other at supersonic speed, Aaryan channelled his energytowards his legs for speed and his fist for a huge impact with him. he knew that it's going to behurtful impact so he channelled his most of the energy to his fist and veins of his arms startedglowing like never before. they both were approaching at very high speed and he noticed thateven yeti had made a fist to punch him but it didn't stop him to hit him. he approached just nearhim and tried to punch him but exactly at same moment yeti also threw a punch at Aaryan andboth of their fists collided with each other's and it created a shock wave which just damagedand destroyed the whole alley in just an eye blink, Aaryan and yeti both experienced high degreeof burn and recoil from their punches. Aaryan was shocked, he saw zero damage on Yeti's hand.he was confused, even a normal animal couldn't take or throw a punch like that. it startedlightening around them, and the rain was just slowing him down, he had to constantly wipe hisface to keep the focus on him, fortunately, he didn't have long hairs otherwise it would havebeen a mess. but the rain wasn't fair, it didn't affect yeti, that yeti clung his claws and extendedhis nails. he was looked fucking scary now. yeti picked a big destroyed iron dustbin and threw atAaryan, the velocity of the dustbin was fast as a bullet, Aaryan punched the bin and bent it inhalf, but it distracted him from Yeti and when he realized this yeti was standing in front of him,he overshadowed him and lifted him by this gut, he pierced his claws three or four-inch insidehis back, but Aaryan's skin was too hard to penetrate so his claws didn't go further. Aaryan hadto get out of his lock, his pivoted his body in a circular which removed his claws and heenergized his hand to prepare his hand and quickly slipped behind Yeti's back, now Aaryan wasin piggyback position behind Yeti. but it just pissed yeti more, but Aaryan had to counter it, hecan't just take punches and still stay alive. Aaryan started striking yeti with his elbows on hishead, he thought it might make him dizzy and it did but for only a few seconds. yeti got veryfurious and he started shaking his body to toss Aaryan off his back, yeti started spinningvigorously and Aaryan lost grip on his back and he was thrown dragging on the road. he wastrying to stand but yeti was so quick and he came close just in second and lifted Aaryan by hisneck and started crushing it, it was a killer move, Aaryan could die in a second by that, but sincehe threw his first punch he was just thinking that how could an animal take his punch andthrow some deadly punch that is bleeding me, but he had some idea, deep in his mind hethought that it could be one of his own that's why it was able to hurt Aaryan. he was strugglingto breathe. Aaryan suddenly held Yeti's horns and pulled his head down by it and kicked him onhis gut, this time yeti was one who was flying in the air. He ended up crashing into a building afew meters away. Aaryan stood on his ground and held his gut checking if any collateral damagehad happened, after a long time he felt danger for his life, after all, he was a human. The rainwas getting worse. lightning was scaring everyone in town including Aaryan. his sight was backto yeti, he saw it moving again, but this time his glow was even brighter, it was like he was usinghis back up energy. Aaryan didn't want to give it time so he ran towards it, preparing his fist toknock him in one punch on his temple, a deadly move to finish him. he almost reached himwhen he saw yeti rising, yeti looked at him most furiously, but Aaryan's punch was on its way,fully loaded with confidence Aaryan was in mid-air, just in front of yeti, almost close tothrowing superman punch at it when he saw that yeti's punch was ready too and the worst partis that it looked more lethal, his punch just touched yeti's fur when yeti's punch hit him so hardthat he fell straight on that ground creating a five-meter long crater as if a small asteroid fellwith great speed. Aaryan was passed out for a few seconds when his eyes opened, he saw Yetistanding to open him with his one leg on Aaryan's chest, yeti was applying as much force asAaryan was alive but suffering. Aaryan made a move to escape, he tried to lift yeti's foot with hishand but his actions were brutal and suddenly he felt his rib cage cracking, he started feelingsuffocated and he started throwing random punches, yeti was out of his patience, yetichannelled his energy towards his fist and punched, Aaryan was partially knocked out, his eyeswent blurry and now he started hearing his father's voice in his head, in his mind he was ingreat void, it was like he was standing in a dark space alone and his father's voice was comingfrom nowhere. Yeti was still trying to crush Aaryan but he also wasn't a normal human, Aaryanwould have been dead if he was a normal human. Aaryan was blocked, the rain was pouring intoAaryan's mouth and nose, filling his lungs with water, he could feel his breath fading away, hewas trying to stay awake but his eyes were fading, he didn't know how to get out of thissituation when unexpectedly he heard his father saying "wake up kid! it's not the time to die likea loser, you are very special among all of us, you have a special gift that none of us could everhave, it came to you from your mother, it's not the time to give up, now is not the time, there isno time at all, this can't be your end, so wake up, wake up, wake up!", suddenly with heavybreathing, Aaryan opened his eyes, his heart started pumping neon colour blood in his veins, hismuscles grew thicker his rib cage was repairing itself, even the veins around his eyes startedluminescing neon colour and finally just like a spark in the haze a raindrop fell into Aaryan's eyeand both of his eyes started glowing too and for a moment he heard his father's voice saying"rise" and next second a powerful high-velocity punch came out of nowhere and connected onyeti's chest and made yeti fly a couple of hundred meters in the air. Aaryan didn't gave yeti anytime and channelled his energy to his legs and made a powerful jump that shattered everythingaround him on the ground and he launched straight in the air and towards yeti, it was a riskymove as he was surrounded by deadly flashes of lightning, as he approached yeti he noticed thatyeti was passed out somehow so he prepared another fist and hit the yeti with his full power andpushed yeti even higher and more prone towards lightening, that second punch loweredAaryan's velocity but not his will, he was about to go for the third punch, but within a moment abolt of lightning hit yeti in mid-air and Aaryan saw Yeti melting into a thick slurry liquid, thatliquid or his remains were falling on Aaryan along with rain, he soon realized that he is also inhigher grounds like yeti and there was nothing else for lightning to strike except him. he was indeep shit now. he thought "if that yeti had similar powers like me then my weakness might belike his too if that lightning struck me even once then I might end up like him too, and Prekshawon't even find my body, I need to get down quickly ASAP''. By thinking that, he squeezed hisbody like a swimmer to decrease drag and increase velocity. He was terrified for his survival, therain was helping him push down. just within a few minutes, he was near the ground. he was gladthat he was going to be safe, but his happiness turned into silence when he turned his headtowards the sky and saw the clouds glow like thousands of light bulb were glowing in theclouds, it a going to be one deadly supermassive lightening and it was going to strike somethingcloser than anything else, and in that case it was Aaryan. Aaryan tried harder but the lightningwas faster than him, he was almost parallel to the club's tower when the lightning struck thetopmost antennae of the tower, Aaryan was very close to that antenna and unfortunately, someamount of lightning struck Aaryan's left thigh because he had metallic car keys in his leftpocket, it wasn't a direct hit but he crashed like a threadless kite in the same alley hitting fewalready destroyed dustbins and building rocks. Aaryan was heavily injured and everything infront of him was fading out, he looked at his left leg and he saw that it was heavily damaged, likea third-degree burn, he straightened his body and kept looking at those mighty clouds, butshockingly he felt someone is trying to lift him, he turned his head and saw Preksha trying tolift his body, trying to lift him from dead, everything was blurry when he heard her saying incrying tone "I am not going to let anything happen to you, just keep your eyes on me and don'tsleep, I am going to take you to the hospital", her hospital thing just stunned him like a bee andhe said with fainting voice "no hospital, no doctor, take me to Dr Anup Kumar Singh 22 rangehills lane estate alley number seven..." Aaryan passed out just before he could say anything else.it was hard for Preksha to pull him around because of his weight and thickened muscles so shebrought the car to him and somehow she managed to put him inside and drove to Aaryan'sgiven address. The storm went quiet as if it was waiting for that lightning to happen and thenwent silent.Aaryan opened his eyes and saw red painted walls, classic furniture, no windows or skylit, fewsafes and some bookshelves filled with ancient books and pilgrim Aaryan realized that he was inhis bunker. the first person he saw was Dr Singh sitting next to him, Dr Singh wearing nightpyjamas and power glasses and long beard and hairs saw him in conscious and said with relieftone "oh thank god you are alive, your girl brought you to me in a critical time, I couldn't risktreating you at my house so I brought you in your bunker, any way you were critically burnt, butyou also almost healed your self overnight, I just stabilized your heart and you did the restyourself, you were lucky this time, don't you know that no matter how much you are invinciblethere is always something that could kill you, even superman had fucking Kryptonite", Aaryansat on the bed and replied holding his head "I didn't know, father never told me", Dr Singhreplied with sorrow "I heard about your father, I guess he didn't want people to know aboutyour weakness, well you are fine now, take care and stay alive please, I got to go I have been hereall night I have a family to answer and also to manipulate the CCTV cameras if the alley inwhich you just showed your heroism, I will try that they don't see you in that footage but if itbecame necessary to just show your actions to hide your identity then I will ", Dr Singh stoodand as he approached the door Aaryan asked "where is the girl who brought me here", Dr Singhreplied smiling "she is upstairs burning your blood-stained clothes, and yeah I didn't tell heranything I guess you should tell her that yourself" and he left by saying that. upstairs Prekshasaw the doctor leaving and she thanked him for helping her. She then made some tea becauseshe knew Aaryan drinks it every morning and took it directly downstairs in the bunker. whenshe reached in bunker Aaryan was standing naked in the room self-examining his body for anyinternal damage, Preksha just turned right away and so then Aaryan noticed her presence, hequickly put his shorts on and asked her "ahh Golu now you can face me", he was so embarrassedat that moment he didn't know how to react and nor did Preksha. She turned around but still,Aaryan's bare body was intimidating her, his four abs and perfect chest and arms were just toohard to resist. He came closer and kissed her. they sat on the bed and Preksha asked whilesipping the cup of tea "so, what are you and please don't lie because I saw you last night kickingthat monster's ass".
