Clothed in rags, we walked in poverty
Nowhere to go and all the more lost.
On the path of death, The truth was concealed. So lies lingered and trickery roamed.
The only light to be revealed was outer beauty, while inside murkiness stayed.
May grateful cheers and praise be given to the one who saved us. Above in the Heavens, our situation was seen.
He saw the world with all the sin and iniquity. While their sin was great, His love shone greater.
From above He came down, down from glory, wrapping himself in flesh. Coming to carry the weight of the world.
Jesus, absolute and perfect.Lived a right life, Holy and Blameless… For the consequences, His precious blood was shed on the cross for us.
It is finished! He cried. The wages were paid.
For three days, a burial was borrowed, For Him.
The first two days the stone set in place, stayed still.
came the third, the stone was rolled, the spirit was working. The angles were telling, Jesus has Risen, Hallelujah!
It was just the start of the great commission that would spread.
Through his grace, and what He did, we are clothed in righteousness, freed from the grips of sin and death.
Through Him, we found light, life and joy. He is the only Way, Truth and Life, no one else... no one but Christ..
(Acts 4:11-12) For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says,'The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.' There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved."
John 14:6 (NLT) Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.
John 19:28-30 (NKJV) So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
Corinthians 15:3-4 (NLT) 3 I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. 4 He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said.
