"GIR, I am going to the Dib-thing's house" Zim announced dramatically as he put on his disguise.

The robot dog tilted its head, "again?" then it made a high pitched scream and thrashed around randomly, "I think somebody has a crush!"

Zim's face scrunched up with confusion, "'Crush'?"

"It's when u get feely-feels for someone and your heart beats really fast! And your eyes form hearts and you just want to eat them up 'cuz they're so cute!" GIR jumped around like popcorn in a microwave.

"Not a chance, GIR." The alien couldn't possibly feel that way towards a human. Especially the weird Dib-worm he constantly interacted with.

Without another word, Zim left his base and started walking to Dib's house. The night held a chill in the air and the alien shivered a little. He always hated the walk there. Sometimes he didn't even know why he went over to Dib's place to begin with. He'd never admit it, but during the night, when he had no important work to do, Zim would go over to his "enemy's" house so he wouldn't feel so alone.

Soon enough, Zim was in Dib's backyard. Thoughts seemed to distract him and make the walk less painful to bare. Making sure no one was around, Zim's pak legs slithered out and he hoisted himself up the side of the house. Dib always kept the window unlocked, so without a second thought the alien slid open the window. Yet for some reason, as soon as he got one leg through the opening, he realized that the bedroom he was so used to secretly entering was different.

  "oh fuck wrong house-"

"Zim? you're here again?" Dibs face was coated in surprise at the aliens visit. Though, he really shouldn't be so baffled since Zim frequently snuck into his room from the window.

Once Dib realized Zim was leaving he jumped up to the windowsill, "wait, Zim, this is the right house! Where are you going?"

"Dib?" Zim whipped his head around, "I- why is your room so deceiving?"

Realization hit, Dib forgot to tell Zim about his bedroom makeover. "Come back it's okay, I just put up new lights and moved some furniture around."

Zim crawled back up in though the window and instead of landing on the floor like he was used to, he landed on a bed full of blankets and pillows.

"Why is your room weird?" Zim made himself comfortable on the crowded bed.

"I got rid of the old lights and decided I'd move things around 'cuz i wanted something new." Dib explained. He looked like a puppy happy to see their owner again.

"I see." Zim admired the new look.

Dib grabbed a small remote, "look at this," he pushed buttons on the remote and the lights changed colors. Zim couldn't help but widen his eyes and look fascinated at the pretty hues.

"Do you have a favourite color, Zim?" The boy asked curiously.

"Eh, I like green I guess." With that new knowledge, Dib switched the lights to green and watched Zim smile at them.

"Ingenious!" Zim yelled and Dib had to shush him before his little sister Gazlene found out that Zim was over. It was midnight, she probably wasn't sleeping yet.
