HIM

I rush out of the coffee shop as quick as I could. I looked around and didn't see her. She was gone again.

I'm so full of fury, that I immediately shape shift into my wolf. I run towards the woods void of all of my consequences.

Minutes later, I find myself at her house. I creep towards the backyard gate and peer over to see Alex reading on the back porch. I whimper at the sight of her. She turns her head towards my direction. I crouch down and run away.

I stop in my tracks as I arrive to the pack house. I shift back into my human form and grab a pair of pants from the porch "Dad!" I yell, he rushes outside to meet me. "What is it Roman?" I hold my head down as he looks at me. "I have disgraced you." My father inches close to me. "Spit it out, son." I can sense that he's already mad at me for the things that I have done. "We've just declared war with the TimberRidge Pack." My father grabs me by the back of my neck and drags me into the house. I watch as the floorboards rush past my eyes. I hear my mother gasp. "Not a word, Pamela." I hear my father say to her.

He tosses me in his office. "Have you lost your goddamn mind! What in the thell would posses you to do such a stupid thing!" He screams causing the walls to shake.

"Not only did you declare war on another pack, but you also did not ask your Alpha!" He glares at me. "You said that I'm Alpha now." I say low. He picks me up by my throat and slams me against the wall.

"JACOB!!" My mother yells to my father, "That will be enough." He puts me down on the ground. "Now, both of you take a seat. What's done is done. That's all it is." She says. "That means war?" I say nervously. She nods. "But what we must do is secure oue Luna. If the TimberRidge Pack finds out that you have a Luna and you both are living apart, it could be deadly. They could kill you, and worse; they could kill her."

"How am I going to convince her to move in with us?" I ask. My father chuckles, "Very simple, just start to date her." I nod, "Well, I guess I'll make a plan to get my Luna."

My mother begins to laugh, I turn to look at my parents. "What?" I ask them. "You've always been my special child." She says.

I walk out of the door and head straight for my Luna's house.

HER

Sitting on the bay window seat in my family's kitchen, I hear the doorbell ring. "Alex. Get the door." I hear my mother say from the living room. I put down my book and head for the door. I open it and see Roman.

"What are you doing here?" He takes my hand and pulls me on the porch, "Can we talk?" I nod, "Yeah. How did you know I lived here?" I ask him.

He shrugs his shoulders. "I have to apologize for my behavior earlier." I nod, "It's okay, I just want to know what happened." He rubs the back of his neck, "It's a long story that we don't have time for." He says to me.

"Roman, you seem like such a great guy, but I'm not in the mood to play these guessing games with you." He nods, "I can totally respect that." He smiles, "Can I make it up to you?" He asks me. I smirk, "What would you have in mind?" He flashes his beautiful smile, "Dinner and a movie?" I bounce on the bottom of my heels, "How's tomorrow at 7?" He asks, "Sounds like a plan." I say to him.

I turn towards the door and step in, I notice Roman crowding me. As I close the door, Roman puts his hands up to block it. "You'll love the plot twist at the end." He says, I step back and look at my book that's sitting across the room, I head inside and grab it off my seat. "You've read this before?" I ask as I head back for the dor. I look on the porch and Roman is gone again.

The next morning I wake up in such a daze. I immediatley call Mallory.

MAL: Hello?

ME: Hey, I have to tell you what happened last night.

MAL: What? (I hear Mallory gasp)

ME: That hot guy Roman, from the other day, stopped by my house and asked me on a date.

MAL: OMG!! You have to go!

ME: I don't know...

MAL: Alex! Seriously, you haven't been on a date in like forever! All you do is go to school, study and go home! You have to go!

ME: Fine.

I hang up the phone.

"Alex!" Chris screams, "Something came for your!" I nod, "Okay. Well, bring it inside!" I say while walking down the steps. He turn to look at me and scoffs, "What am I a delivery boy?" I laugh, "You look like one."

He brings a huge cardboard box into the living room. I open it to find a dozen of long stems roses, all wilted. "What kind of gift is that?" Chris asks me. I shrug my shoulders. "I don't know."
