Runaway

It has been five years since my parents left me to fight in the military. Right now a war is happening as I am narrating. The war started 4 years ago. 1 year after my parents left. I have no Idea when will it end but I hope it ends soon. All I want is to see them again. I'm old enough to take care of my self. They had karate lesson in the orphanage. I took cooking classes in highschool. So I can take care of my self. Right.

Fear: wrong

It was late at night, on a rainy day. The day when my plan to escape would happen. I didn't know if it would work but im confident that it would work. I've been planning this for weeks. Now it is the time to execute it. I just needed to make sure eveyone is asleep. I wrote down when everyone is fully asleep so when I accidentally make a noise they won't notice. I made sure to stay away from Cole because he isn't much of a sleeper. He wakes up even when the slightest noise happens near him. Like if someone tapped a pencil on the table a little bit hard. He would hear it and wake up.  Good thing he is at the other side of where my exit will be. His room is sound proof because he wakes up too much and wakes up the other kids. I made sure to make a map of the place and map down where the cameras were. This plan was working great. All I need to do is do it. I woke up that night and packed my bags and started to head out. I didn't really have much all I had was a headset, an Iphone 6, some clothing, and a couple of cash to allow me to survive until I make it towards my destination. I quietly try walking out my room, not trying to wake up the other kids in the other rooms. Especially cole. I tip toed towards my exit I had planned to escape through. This plan was excellent. I had made it to my destination and left as fast as I could. Now all I have to do is exit the perimeter and not get caught by security guards or cameras. Good thing I know how the cameras function because I sneaked into an office where the live camera footage is stored. I've taken note that they weren't thermal. Neither at night. It was perfect. This place was full of bushes and trees. Blind spots were everywhere. I knew where every camera is at so I have figured out an escape route. Go through the back alley, in the bushes. I tried heading towards the forest but there was a fence. I was one step ahead and had a key card that I stole from one of the security guards. I opened the door and ran as fast as I could to who knows where. All I did was run. I didn't even look back. I ran. I didn't even know how far. But certainly there was no end in the forest so I had ran so fast. But what I did know is that I didn't run far because when I took a second to stop and take a breath. I heard an alarm. And I know what alarm it was. It was the orphanage. I ran as a fast as I could but I realized that I didn't close the gate door.

Me: Crap, I have to look for the city and find a train station and go towards the US MILITARY BASE in Colorado.

I tried to look for an exit to this endless forest until I got very lucky and found the city. It was so...beautiful

Me: Woah. This is....this is amazing

*bark* *bark*

Me: oh crap they are near. I need to hurry

I ran into the city. I ran around asking people if they knew where the train station was.

Me: Hey do you know where the nearest train station is?

Citizen: No sorry kid I don't

Me: oh okay, thanks.

Another one

Me: hey do you know where the nearest train station is?

Citizen2: No sorry. I just moved here not too long ago so I don't know my way around

Me: Oh its fine. Thanks

I kept asking random people if they knew where the train station was. None of them knew. I was about to give up until I saw someone with bags like he was leaving

Me: okay Ace. This is your only chance. Ask that lady where the train station is and you will be free.

But not from me

I ran towards her to ask my question

Me: Hey miss? Do you know where the nearest train station is.

Citizen: Yes! In fact Im headed there right now, do you want a ride.

I didn't hesitate to answer

Me: YES!! I mean yes please

Citizen: great. Just follow me. The back seats and the middle seats are full so you'll have to take the passenger seat in the front

Me: Oh okay. That is fine. Im Ace by the way

Mary: I am Mary. Nice to meet you Ace. Now come on. My train is almost hear so lets go. Also you don't have a ticket. You can buy one at the station. But where are you headed off to?

Me: Oh I'm headed off to see my family.....;-;

Mary: Oh I see. Well lets get going

We both got in the car and headed towards the train station. I bought my self my ticket to Colorado and waited. What could possibly go wrong in this trip
