Jungkook had been planning this for weeks.

Months.

He was finally going to pop the question to Vanya.

After two years of dating and being each other's best friend, they had started joking about getting married, sometimes actually discussing it for hours late into the night.

He chuckled to himself at the thought of spending his life with her, kind of terrified that she might say no.

He took a deep breath and put on his coat as she laced up her sneakers at the steps by the door.

"Are you ready to go?" She asked without looking up, her braid hanging off her shoulder as she knotted the final bow.

"Y-uup," he said as he put his hands in his pocket, feeling the tiny velvet box.

She stood up and wore her coat, extending her elbow to link her arm with his.

"Let's go!" She said with a grin that made his heart flutter.

They got on their bicycles and hooked their phones to the handles.

They opened the Pokemon Go app and made their way to the local park.

They'd do this every Saturday. Even though people had actually stopped playing Pokemon go after the hype died down, the both of them had made it a part of their daily lives at this point.

It was one of their first dates.

Jungkook recalled that day as they biked to the park.

"OH MY GOD JUNGKOOK!! AIM! WAIT NO- I'll do it!" She said as she snatched the phone from him, catching the Pokemon in one go.

"WOAH Vanya! That was amazing!"

"You could say I spend too much time on this game," she said with a giggle.

He waited till her back faced him as she walked in front of him.
He looked at her as her braid swung from side to side, humming to herself, looking at her phone, occasionally looking up at the sky.

He took a deep breath and steeled himself as he reached into his pocket and brought out the Pokeball.

He aimed and threw it at her head. It bounced and she turned one hand on her head, a look of annoyance and confusion before she saw what it was.

She bent down and picked it.
Opening it she saw there was a piece of paper

I choose you~

She looked up and saw Jungkook on one knee.

"Wha- what-" she said as she realised, a delighted smile appearing in her face "oh Kookie~"

He forgot whatever he was going to say when she smiled like that.

"I- Ummm... Phew okay! Come on JK! You've performed in front of ridiculous crowds for god's sake..."

"Vanya... Um.. would you like to, you know?"

She was barely holding in her laughter as she saw him struggle "What Kookie? What would I like to do? Get ice cream later? Sure!" She said as she nodded at him encouragingly, a smile on her face

"Will you marry me?"

"Oh my god, I thought you'd never ask!" She said as she laughed and made him stand up, kissing him as he slipped the ring on her finger.

"Seriously though? The Pokeball?" She asked while laughing, clinging on to him as they walked back to the bikes.

He grinned "don't tell me you didn't like it!"

"Oh, I loved it Jungkook... I love anything you do... Except for baking. Please let's not do that again, since we're now basically stuck with each other till the end of our days~" she said as she shuddered, remembering that unfortunate day

"HEY! I WASN'T THAT BAD!" he complained with a pout

"Oh ho ho! Don't get me started on THAT again Kookie. I have six other guys to back me up on this" she said as she sat on the bike.

Jungkook sighed as he remembered
"Oh wait! Do you want ice cream? To celebrate?"

"Are you buying?" Vanya asked with a grin

"I bought you a RING, woman! Ice cream's on you today" he said as he rolled his eyes playfully

"Fair enough..." She said as they made their way to their favourite ice cream shop.
