Months Later
It was cold outside and she didn't want to go to school like always because it is not fun and it is time consuming. She was off like usual and went off to meet Jerold for school that day. They were so excited because the first dance was coming up and they couldn't wait to get all dressed up and go out, they were talking about it as they were headed in the general direction of their first class, which was towards the middle of the campus.
Jerold said, "I so can’t wait to put on the nice cool tux my mom got me. It’s so cool the way it was designed, I was surprised to find it and had heard it was the last one. What color dress are you going to get Eli?”
“I’m not sure what color dress I feel like wearing; I haven’t even gone shopping for one yet and we only have a week left till the dance. I don’t have any of my stuff I need. I was thinking of wearing my tiara to the dance, so I can take it off the shelf for once instead of letting it get all dusty.” Said Eliza
“I think the tiara would be pretty on you Eli. If you need help with anything like shopping you could ask my older sister. She is 23 and has gone and still is going to a lot of formal stuff.” Said Jerold
“Okay, I think I will ask her if she will come over tomorrow and look at what I have. Then if she wants we can go shopping. I was going to go shop at some stores downtown with Jenny and Clarita, but I think it would make me feel better if I had an opinion from someone who has done this sort of thing a lot.” Said Eliza
“Alright, I will text her right now.” Said Jerold
Eliza said, “Hay, when did you get a phone?”
“I got it just this past weekend.” Replied Jerold
“Okay, well here’s my number.” Said Eliza
“Okay, text me if you need anything or want to talk to someone about anything even if it is just on your mind.” Said Jerold
By the time they had changed numbers the bell had rung for them to go to class. They had English, math, science, and three electives of their choosing. They have lunch in between the required and elective classes. And each class is thirty-five minutes each, but lunch is an hour and five minutes total. Their day was smooth and easy; they are having a minimum day tomorrow with it being Thursday. Her classes ended and she went to meet Jerold.
Eliza said, "Wow! There it is the hole. I need to get Jerold and show him the hole or he may start to think that it is my imagination going wild.”
Jerold said, “Wow! Where are we going Eli?”
“To the hole I saw it on my way to meet you it was near the gym.” Replied Eliza
They got there but by the time they did the hole was gone again. It had started to show up more often and Eliza realized that. It was making her nervous. They went home again and she was very sad because she couldn't show Jerold. I'll show him one day she thought to herself.
It was the day of the dance and they hadn't seen the hole. She thought everything would go smoothly like it had for the past week and a half. She had picked out a blue and purple dress with green flowers. It was shiny from the sparkles which made the dress look like it had come from a fairy tale story. She wore silver shoes and put her hair in curls with silver pins with diamond like gems in the middle. She put her hair up here and there with the pins and added the tiara at the end after she fixed the long dress to come out puffier. The dress had been perfect for her; Jerold had no clue as to what it looked like cause she wanted to be a surprise that night,
She was getting out of the BMW car, and they were going to get in line for the dance. They had just planned on having dinner afterwards.
Jerold said, “Wow. There are a lot of people here. And you know who looks the prettiest?”
