Chapter 3

Zoe Franta

I woke up with no covers on me. I turned to my left and saw Connor had all the blankets on top of him. How rude. I tried to pull some of the covers towards me but nothing happened. I kicked Connor and he groaned, rolling over and looking at me. 

"What?" He asked. 

"You kinda took all of the blankets." I pointed out. 

"Oh, sorry about that." He said sheepishly.

"Well I'm going swimming." I announced.

"I'll come with you. I actually want to talk to you." Connor said, getting up.

We went upstairs and he went into his room to change and I went into mine. I chose my black bikini with a neon yellow and pink strap. The bottom also had the straps that match the top. I walked out of my bedroom and went back downstairs, opening the sliding door and walking out, placing the ray bans I had over my eyes and slowly getting into the pool. I sat down on the steps and waited for Connor, who came out a minute later with two towels. He set them down and joined me in the water.

"So what's up?" I asked. 

"Well, I um..." Connor trailed off. 

"You um what?" I asked. 

"Well first off, since it's the beginning of July, the lease for the house will be up this month." Connor said. 

"Wait, are you being serious?" I asked. 

"Yeah, and me and you are going to move into an apartment." He replied nervously. 

"Just us? Not the boys?" I asked. Connor nodded. "Will we get to see them a lot?" I asked. 

"I'd like to." He replied. "Are you okay with this? Be honest." 

"I'm fine with it! It's just that I'm gonna miss Ricky, Jc, and Kian." I replied. 

"Well I may have already talked to them about this and I believe one of them mentioned and I quote 'a super fun sleepover that only Zoe can come to and maybe Connor but we want Zoe for like one week if that's okay please don't hurt us for saying that.'' Connor said, laughing a little, as did I when he said the quote. 

"Would that be fine?" I asked. 

"I wouldn't mind." Connor replied, smiling.

"Wait I have a question for you, and I don't know what to do." I said, frowning a little bit. 

"What?" Connor asked. 

"I think I should quit the collab channel I'm doing." I replied, nervously looking down. 

"Why do you think that?" Connor asked. 

"It's just that now that I've gotten depression and anxiety and the whole thing with Eva, I'm afraid that my content will start to go down, trying to balance two videos in one week and it's just crazy. I barely use my main channel and I'd like to focus more on that now too." I explained. 

"It's funny that you brought that up, because I don't think I'm going to continue with O2L. My content on both my main channel and O2L have been lacking a lot, and I don't want to be the reason our channel is going to go down, I don't want to bring the guys down with me, it's not fair to them and it's not fair to me. I never ever thought I would say this, but I'm starting to feel like YouTube is a job for me, and that isn't my intention, I do YouTube because I feel that it's fun and I'm into it, and I think that by leaving O2L it is a new step in my life, a new chapter." Connor spoke, causing me to become shocked. 

"Do the boys support you? Like have you told them?" I asked. 

"Yeah, they said they would support me no matter what, so I guess I'm glad of that. I just don't know how the fans would act, you know? That's what scares me the most." Connor answered. 

"Well I support you on it, and I'm sure all of your fans will support you." I said. "Do you know when you are doing it?" I asked him. 

"Yeah, this coming video, I think it's July 7th." He replied. 

"Well I need to talk to Tyler and Kendall and everyone else about what I'm thinking. I just need a break right now." I stated. 

"I support you too." Connor said. I was about to say something when I was interrupted by a splash. I jumped a little because I wasn't expecting it, and looked over at the source. Kian. 

"Kian!" I yelled, taking my ray bans off and placing them on the side of the pool before moving from the steps and into the pool. I swam towards Kian and splashed him, which caused a splash war to start. Ricky and Jc also jumped into the pool and Connor joined in, so it was a splash on splash on splash on splash on splash war.

"Stop!" I shouted after a little bit, causing everyone's attention. "So what are we doing today?" I asked. 

"Well later today I have to get Eva's stuff and take her to the boarding school place." Ricky said. 

"I need to film for O2L."Jc said. 

"I'm not doing anything today." Connor and Kian said. 

"Oh we should like totes hang out and go to the mall like yas." I exclaimed.

"I don't see why not." Kian replied. 

"But that requires effort." Connor groaned. 

"Fine I'll go with just Kian. He's bae." I tried to say seriously with a straight face, but I ended up smiling. 

"Ugh I'll go." Connor replied, frowning. 

"Be happy!" I shouted as I got out of the pool, grabbing my sunglasses and a towel.

I went inside and carefully went up the stairs and down the hallway into my room. I took off my wet bikini and wrapped the towel around me, looking for clothes.I picked out Kian's pink and blue Booshka t-shirt and a pair of white skinny jeans with black converse. I brushed out my wet hair that was actually drying rather quickly. I used my blow drier to make it a little drier so it wouldn't be a pain in the butt later. Once I finished that, I brushed my hair out normally and grabbed my phone, walking back downstairs. 

"Kian!" I called out. 

"What?" He replied from his room. 

"How much longer will you be?" I asked. 

"A few minutes!" He yelled so I could hear him. 

"Okay!" I answered as Connor came down the stairs. 

"Ready?" He asked. 

"Yeah, what about you?" He asked. 

"Sure." He replied, smiling a little. I know deep down inside Connor wanted to go to the mall today, I could just tell. Kian came out of his room and we said bye to Ricky and Jc, getting into Kian's car and starting the drive to the mall. Timber came on and Connor immediately shielded my ears. 

"Connor stop!" I said, squirming around, trying to get out of his grip. 

"Little girls like you shouldn't be hearing this song!" Connor exclaimed. 

"You're gonna be screaming like a little girl in a second if you don't get your hands off of me." I squirmed around more, and as soon as I said that his hands were off of me. We got to the mall soon enough and Kian parked the car, and we all got out, walking towards the entrance.
