[Lola's perspective]

James texted me asking me to meet him at the park. I agreed because he's been distant lately and macks needed a walk. As I headed out the front door I felt my phone vibrate.

*New Message*

😍 bae 😍 : The dog park or the one by our school?

me : I have macks so...the dog park?

😍 bae 😍 : I thought so. Keep him on a leash please. I don't want to die.

I rolled my eyes. Macks seems to dislike James, I never could figure out why.

-------------------

At the park macks got really out of hand. He was running and me being me I tripped over my own shoe. His leash slipped and he went running at this boy totally engrossed on his phone.

As I yelled after him, macks was already on top of him. He started licking his face and looked rather too comfortable for my liking.

I ran over to them. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry. I don't know what got into him," I said to the boy while quickly turning to macks, "Down, now!"

He followed my orders and ran at James. He sat next to James and started raising his paw, I smiled. Progress. I turned around to apologize once more.

He wore sunglasses and his arms where coverd in tattoos ew. [a/n: jk yum] His smile was off putting, decent but sinister. I backed away but he grabbed my arm, pulling me forward.

"Your dog seems to like me." He said while smirking. I nodded slowly. "Jason, you are?" I furrowed my eyebrows, "I don't mean to be rude but I don't talk to strangers plus my boyfriend is waiting for me with my dog."

He laughed, "Alright, Lola." With that he got up and walked away, leaving me confused as to how he knew my name but I quickly forget as James wrapped his arms around me and kissed my shoulder, "Who was that?" His thick accent made me jump.

"No one." Was all I said.

[Jason's perspective]

I finally saw her for the first time since last week.

/flashback/ [Normal perspective]

Lola was on the phone with her boyfriend. "Yeah. Ok. Wait, wait, wait. The red one?" Muffled answers was all Jason could hear.

Without focusing on her surroundings she yanked the read leash off. It smacked Jason on the cheek. "Yeah but it's a puppy and it wil- Holy shit. I mean I'm sorry are you okay?" Jason laughed and nodded walking out of site.

"Huh? Oh yeah, I hit a boy in the face with the leash. James that is not funny. You prick." Lola laughed.

A loud "Ow" was heard from the other side of her phone. "What did you do now genius?" She said with an annoyed yet playful tone.

"He did? Bad macks! You don't bite daddy, only mommy does."

"Lola!" James yelled.

"Yeah babe?" Jason rolled his eyes at her response.

"Is anyone hearing you?"

Lola looked around and spotted Jason behind a magazine rack. She whispered, "James, the boy I hit is like staring into my soul. I'll call you back if I don't call 911."

She grabbed the leash and spead off, in her hurry she dropped her phone. Jason smiled and said to himself, "Rookie mistake."
