We start with a girl; Cassity Spencer, aged 13. Cassity was about to start her 3rd year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She and her mother, Mrs. Spencer, were going to go to Diagon Ally later that day, her booklist having arrived the day before.

Cassity's POV

Briiing. Briiing. Briiing. Ugh... it can't be time already? Surely I still have a few hours left to sleep?

'CASSITY SPENCER GET DOWNSTAIRS RIGHT NOW YOUNG LADY.' came my mothers commanding voice from the kitchen.

'Alright Mum I'm coming!' Now I'd have to get up.

I got out of bed and walked towards my dresser. 'Blast,' I had just caught a glimpse of my self in the mirror; my hair was a mess. I picked up my hair brush and started attacking it to no effect, I'd have to get Mum to charm it or something.

When I got downstairs Mum was in a towering temper, yelling her self silly at my older brother Owen. '-YOU COME DOWNSTAIRS LOOKING LIKE YOU JUST GOT TRAMPLED BY A HORDE OF ANGRY GOATS TO TELL ME YOU CAN'T COME TO DIAGON ALLY BECAUSE YOU CAN'T FIND YOUR  QUIDDITCH ROBES!?!? YOU ARE COMING INTO LONDON WITH THE REST OF THE FAMILY AND YOU CAN TELL DIGGORY YOUR NEIGHBOR'S HIPPOGRIFf ATE THEM, I DON'T CARE!' 'But Mum, Diggory might kick me off the team-' 'Don't be stupid  Owen. Diggory won't kick you off the team! He'll replace you robes and be done with it.' I stated coldly. 'Thank you, Cassity. Yes Owen, you are coming to Diagon Ally with us, don't forget your booklist. Sausages, Cassity?'

We got  to London by Floo Powder, Tom the innkeeper at the Leaky Cauldron smiled widely at Mum as we passed. She blushed slightly and smiled back, walking out into the courtyard and tapping the third brick to the left over the dustbin with her wand. When the archway was big enough we walked through, Owen sulking behind.

I was greeted by a shriek of 'Cass!' and flying blonde hair as my best friend Deliyla came running at me and hugged me. 'Dee! It's been too long, how come you didn't visit? I sent you an owl!' 'I know Cass, please don't be mad. The Ministry have been checking all our mail ever since Veronica Glass sent me that cage full of Doxies. They send us an owl to tell us if a letter has been confiscated. I'm not sure why they confiscated your letter though, was there anything-' she was cut off as a small crowd of middle-aged warlocks came running through the archway. They passed. 'I wonder what that was all about?' Dee said, apparently completely forgetting what she was talking about.

'No, Deliyla, there was nothing amiss with that letter. We should go to Flourish and Blotts. To get our new books, you know?' I said, pulling  Deliyla back on the right tracks. 'Yes, yes, quite right. What new subjects are you taking, Cass?' 'The same as you, Dee.' 'I know Cassity, I've forgotten them though.' she stated simply. I sighed, 'Care of Magical Creatures, Study of Ancient Runes and Divination.'

We walked up the Ally towards Flourish and Blotts, I pulled out my book list;

Third Years will Require;

- Intermediate Transfiguration

-The Standard Book of Spells, Grade Three

Books for Elective Subjects;

-The Monster Book of Monsters

-Unfogging the  Future

-The Spellmans Sylibary

Other(s);

-Dress Robes

'I wonder why we need dress robes?' I asked to no one in particular. 'I donno Cass,' Deliyla responded, 'We'll be going to Madam Malkin's anyway, both of our school robes are getting a little short.'

After we finished our shopping, we headed back to the Leaky Cauldron where Deliyla and (if it panned out well) me would be staying for the next two nights, and then leaving for the Hogwarts Express the next morning.

'Did you pack your trunk before we left this morning?' Mum asked me, 'No! you didn't tell me I'd be staying here!' 'Well, you'll have to go back home and pack it then.' 'Fine,' I said 'Dee, do you wanna come with?' 'Sure! I'd love to!' Dee responded gleefully, as we started to walk to wards the fire place.

When we got home, Deliyla and I hurried off to my room to pack my trunk. My owl, Calypso, hooted from her cage on top of the dresser. Dee and I chatted while I thrust my belongings into the trunk. 'I hope we get decent DADA teacher this year...' I  said throwing my yellow and black striped scarf into my trunk. 'Me too,' said Dee.
