Chapter One - Alphas Academy

    "Do you think I should have confessed my feelings to Alden" she asked suddenly.

   I looked up at her and shook my head " I don't know, you of all people  should know that I am not a person that gives advice to people about love and relationships" I replied.

  Phoebe has been my roommate and friend since the beginning of the year and we get along so well. She is a beta-blood from the Freedom pack. Since my pack which is the Autarchy pack and her pack which is the Freedom pack are allies we did not have a problem being roommates unlike some of my previous roommates. I promise I really tried to get along with them but some people are just so stubborn.

     " So you are saying that I should just keep my feelings for Alden to myself for life" I heard her say.
" No, I never said that, but I can advise you to confess your feelings to him and if luck is on your side, he may like you back but you have to live with the embarrassment of you being the first person to confess your feelings instead of him and what if he finds his mate and abandons you, you will be left heartbroken for life and if luck is not on your side, and he does not like you back, you will have to live with the embarrassment of being rejected. And on the bright side you may be his mate. So you have  choices now, choose one."

   " I thought you said you do not give advice about love and relationships but now you just gave me a full lecture about what is going to happen if I confess my feelings." Phoebe teased.

  " I never said I could not......" I was cut off by the voice of Elder Malik, the principal of Alpha's Academy.

    " Everyone, get to the Main Hall at exactly seven am.

     Today is the last day at Alphas Academy. It is a bittersweet moment for me because I am finally leaving this place and at the same time I will be separated from my friends.

     I am also looking forward to go home and at the same time I am scared. Why?

Because as soon as I get home, I will have to take up the responsibility of being an Alpha and I will be crowned Alpha of Autarchy pack. I know that you must be thinking that why will a female be an Alpha, well my parents did not give birth to a son and in the Autarchy pack, being a girl does not mean that you are inferior or weaker than males, so it is not a problem.

  In Alphas Academy, all Alpha, beta and delta bloods attend starting from the age of twelve years for both males and females because we all normally belong to the same age group, we all spend five years there and then spend our twelfth grade in the school for normal wolves. In alpha can only be mated to an alpha, beta or delta blood and a beta can only be mated to an alpha, beta or delta blood and a delta can only be mated to an alpha beta or delta blood.

  
   You can only find your mate by skin-to-skin contact. So everybody at Alphas Academy are to wear gloves to avoid finding their mates before they are done with their education.

   " Earth to Aria..." I heard Phoebe say. After I had snapped out of my trance, I did a once-over of my friend. She was wearing a pretty sundress and she had pulled her beautiful blondish-white hair which I am very jealous of into a high pony tail, she was wearing minimum make up that brought out her gorgeous emerald green eyes which made her look more beautiful.

  " I am done dressing, you can use the bathroom now" she said. I thanked her and proceeded to the bathroom. After I was done bathing, I looked at my reflection in the mirror and I can say that I am averagely beautiful because everything about me is average, average height, average brown eyes, average brown hair, the only thing about my appearance that I am proud of is my flawless milky skin and my beautifully curly hair

     I decided to wear my high-waist skinny black pants and my favourite grey coloured hoodie and my favourite black vans.

   " Oh my gosh, why can't you just try to look a little bit pretty today" Phoebe complained.

    " I just want to dress comfortably, is there something wrong with that" I replied.

    " Of course, there is nothing wrong with that" she replied sarcastically.

"Then can we proceed, we are already late and everybody must be waiting for us".

  " Yeah, of course, let's go."

At exactly seven am, everyone had assembled in the Main Hall and waiting for the announcement.

   " Ladies and gentlemen" Elder Malik started " as you all know, today is the last day of Alphas Academy and you will leave this place to join your respective families and packs" he paused for the reaction of the students and of course, everyone was very happy.

     "Well, since all of you had been good girls and boys, I together with the council have decided that you should be rewarded, so today before you go home, you will all go on a tour to the ' Tunnel of Alphas'."

   Once again there was cheering. The Tunnel of Alphas is just like a museum but it is underground in form of tunnels. It is where all the important artifacts of the past Alphas are kept in. It is said that only a few people are privileged to go there so everybody is very happy to go.

   " Can you believe that" Phoebe squealed so loud that I cringed. " I can't believe we are going there."

   " Me too."
