They were playing Monopoly in the common room on a normal Thursday evening, 'they' being Eijirou, Kaminari, Ashido, Sero and the most attractive guy in their class.

And, no. No matter what Hagakure might try to convince him, he was not referring to Todoroki, though Eijirou would admit that the boy could be quite charming (in a neither blond nor rowdy way, which sadly meant he was not his type). No, he believed the true dreamboat of their class to be Bakugou Katsuki, which Kaminari claimed was a result of Stockholm syndrome and Mina thought was due to intense brainwashing. Jirou, who'd been there at the time, had argued that both were one in the same. Personally, Eijirou didn't really care what label they put on it; he was too head over heels to care.

"Your turn, dumbass." Snapped the boy in question dreamily, scowling at him. He beamed back and rolled the dice, landing once again on one of Bakugou's many hotels.

The first time they'd played this game, a little over two weeks ago, the blond had been ecstatic every time he took some of their money. Now, sixteen laborious games later, the novelty was wearing off, even for him.

Kaminari looked as though he was about to cry as he put his face in his hands. "Not again! You can't possibly win sixteen games in a row, that's not fair." He was whining but Eijirou didn't scold him like he had during their fifth game, instead he just bowed his head in shared misery.

Of course, they wouldn't even be doing this again if his friend would just accept utter failure at Bakugou's mighty fist. But, for whatever reason, Kaminari seemed to get off on being the one person that cared to prove that Bakugou was not the best at everything.

Unfortunately for him, so far he'd only cemented the fact that their friend was undefeatable.

"He's got to be cheating." Decided Mina, wiping her eyes with the few pieces of fake money she had left. "He's the banker, maybe he's been slipping himself extra cash?"

The question was hopeful, but Eijirou had to shake his head and crush her dreams nevertheless, completely ignoring Bakugou's indignant squawk as he aimed a blast at her downcast face. Whilst it was true that he was in charge of all the money, it was also true that he'd rolled exactly what he needed every time Sero had unwillingly relinquished the dice to him. In fact, he had a pile of money on either side of him- one the 'bank' and the other his own loot- and he'd earned so much that Eijirou couldn't even distinguish between them. If anything, he'd guess the slightly larger pile was actually the money he'd earned.

Bakugou was still threatening Mina, hands popping so close to the fire alarms that it made him glad they'd disabled the sprinklers two days into living at the dorms. Iida still wasn't aware of that small fact, which was probably for the best.

"I don't need to cheat when you dimwits are so fucking crap!" He snarled, thumping his fists down onto the table and rattling their pieces all over the board. "And even if I did, none of you could ever prove it since you can barely add two twenties together."

"Hey," Sero cut in finally, and Eijirou could only hope he had a decent comeback. "That's a sort of big number…"

He thought Bakugou might start crying now, but from pure frustration at their stupidity rather than any sense of true loss.

They weren't actually that dumb, because then they'd never have made it into UA. It was, however, fun to mess with their tutor a little bit until he was as miserable as they all were. Plus, after hours of them convincing him that they'd never learned how to count, he'd get this look on his face that was somewhere between desperation, confusion and dumbfoundment, which was kind of adorable.

Kaminari stopped sniffling long enough to make up his own retort: "Yeah, dude, two twenties is, like, more than all of mine and Ashido's fingers and toes put together! That's a lot."

Okay, perhaps Kaminari truly never did learn how to count.
