heartbreak- {verb} possibly the worst feeling in the world. physically and mentally.
I woke up to the sound of my alarm the next morning. I groaned and looked at the clock, 6:00am. I wasn’t actually lying to Jamie last night; I did have an early class.
I showered and got dressed, I felt awful. I’m not sure why, after thinking it over a million times, I barely knew the guy. Sure, we had a fun night together. I only knew the common things, nothing to serious.
The thought calmed me down a little bit.
I went to class, it was quite boring actually. I almost fell asleep, but again that usually happened.
I went to work, my friend Allie was there. I waved to her as I went inside, I put my coat and purse in the back, and put on my apron, and went behind the counter.
Allie walked up to me, “How did it go with that guy last night?” I rolled my eyes.
“He has a girlfriend, a gorgeous one, who’s perfectly skinny, and blonde.” I said.
“I’m guessing it didn’t go very well after that,” she said.
I nodded, “I freaked out, and then went into the bathroom, than I left.”
“Did you make it obvious that you were upset?”
“No, I told him I had an early class, which I did, and that I needed a lot of sleep since I was tired.” I said with a shrug.
“I’m sorry.” She said, and put her arm on my shoulder.
“I’m not really, I barely knew the guy, I think I just got over excited that a guy actually liked me. Or a thought he liked me. I just hope I never have to see the guy again.” I said.
Allie nodded.
I went to work, a few hours later, a familiar head of curly hair came inside, looking at me dead in the eye.

“I just had to make sure you were okay. You left really fast last night, I thought maybe I did something wrong, or you were sick or something.” Jamie said, we were sitting at a booth.
“I was really just tired that’s all, and I had an early class. I wasn’t your fault really.” I said, of course I was lying, I was hoping I was doing a good job at it.
“Do you want to do something tonight? We could go to dinner, or the movies or something.” He asked.
I looked over at Allie who was shaking her head.
