It was midday in London when she returned to earth. Desire Night was just ahead of her. She wondered if Angela was actually waiting for her in the nightclub, or if she just took off with the money.

Lilith entered the nightclub. There were seven people in the large club. She expected as much for such an early hour. Two women and five men, one of which was behind the bar. The house lights were on, unlike at night when the smaller rows of LEDs were on.

She saw Angela sitting at a table all by herself, with her laptop and books around her. She must have been studying for something big. She walked over to Angela, and tapped her on the shoulder. She turned, and her eyes grew. "Lilith," she breathed. "How was it?"

"It was absolutely insane," Lilith sat across from her. "Apparently, it wasn't God that was torturing my father, it was his brothers Gabriel, Raphael, and Michael, there was a swordfight, they've been banished to hell, it was nuts."

"Aw, man, that sounds so fun."

"Well, God's negotiating with my father right now, so I guess that means no war."

"I hope so."

"Yeah, me too. I just caused three angels to suffer eternal damnation. A war will just make me feel guilty."

She laughed. "Well, they deserved it. I still want to meet your dad, by the way."

"I know. So what happened with your dad's case?"

"The police found reason to believe it started as a stove fire, and his death was accidental."

"Lucky you."

"I know. Wonder how that happened."

"I wish I knew."

"So does time work differently in heaven?"

"Very much so."

"What about in hell?"

"It's the same as on earth. Makes the torture longer."

"That's horrible."

"That's the point."

"So how long has God been in hell?"

Lilith shrugged. "Probably around an hour."

"How much longer will it be?"

"I don't know. I'm thinking about heading up to Greed's penthouse to wait. Wanna come with?"

"Oo, yes please."

Angela picked her things up, and followed Lilith to the private elevator, and they went up to the penthouse. "I have to say, though," Angela stated, "I dig the red eyes, but the blonde works better."

Lilith looked at her friend before shaking out her hair, the red turning to gold. "Better?"

"I think so." The elevator halted, and the door opened. "Woah," Angela gasped as they entered the penthouse. She jumped onto one of the couches. "I would live here without thinking twice."

"Yeah, I saw where you were living," Lilith chuckled, digging through the cabinets for a bottle of red wine. There was an entire chilled cabinet full of red wine, so she pulled out a bottle, dug out the cork, and started drinking, sitting on the other black leather couch.

"So is heaven what Jeremiel told us it was?" Angela asked.

"He didn't lie. Golden castle."

"Cool," she grinned. "Am I still going to heaven?"

"Sounds like it. Didn't get the chance to ask. I was too busy being chased by asshole angels."

"Eh, I guess that's a good excuse. I mean, at least you get to torture them in hell for all of eternity now."
