The blinding white light faded. The human shape collapsed to the ground. "Tara? Tara baby, is that you?", Willow choked this out as she crawled over to the body on the floor. When Willow turned the body over, she saw Tara's beautiful face, her soft skin, her brown eyes. Her tears dropped onto Tara's face. Tara's eyes began to flutter and open. "W-Willow?" she choked. "Oh Willow I- I'm so sorry Willow" she cried. "Tara no, I'm sorry. I'm sorry about the magics, I'm sorry about everything. I love you baby!" Willow was flooded with tears, she didn't know how Tara could be back, and she didn't care. All that mattered was that she could hold her in her arms one last time. "Willow, I- I'm sorry I couldn't say goodbye. Everything happened so fast, I- Willow I don't have much time. I don't know how I'm back, I was in a better place, I watched you every day baby, and I still sing to you. I know you can't see me, but I'm always here Willow. I promise I'll never leave you. But Willow listen, something is coming; something terrible and evil, more evil that Glory or anything we've faced. I don't know if Buffy can beat this Willow, you may be her only hope. I saw what you did to Warren, I saw what you did to Giles, and to Anya and to, well, everything. I'm not ashamed Willow, I just wish that things had turned out different. I don't have long left, I can feel that, so there is just one thing I'd like to say: Willow Rosenberg, you were the love of my life nothing could ever come close to making me feel the way you made me feel. Meeting you, it changed me and I was better off for it. Willow, I love you. Even in death. Goodbye baby."

The bullet hole began to slowly re-appear in Tara's chest. Her life was slowly running out. Willow couldn't put into words how she felt, she simply cried floods of tears and gently, she kissed Tara's cheek and said: "goodbye Tara, I'll never forget you. I'm going to miss you so, so much! But I'm glad that I got to hold you and see you one last time". With that, Tara's eyes gently slipped shut forever and she died in Willows arms. The bright light surrounded Tara once more and she was gone, all that remained was a single golden hair.

Willow was over come with grief, but also with an odd sense of joy and fulfilment. Although she knew she would never see Tara again in life, she knew Tara would always see her, and that she had gotten to say goodbye and to hold her. One last time. In the darkness, she sat, quite and alone.
