DEAR CLASS OF 2020

It was finally time to record the commencement speech for Youtube's Dear Class of 2020.

To say I was excited was an understatement

Back when I graduated, I was the happiest I had been in an extremely long time. I was excited to finally start a new chapter of my life. I was excited to move on from those fours years of my life

"Ok guys, when I say go you can start walking to the camera" One of the staff members spoke.

"Are you excited?" Taehyung turns to me

"Of course, I mean this is huge. I want army to be happy, hopefully they enjoy this" I respond enthusiastically

"Go" I heard the staff member say

All eight of us start walking. I turn to jungkook who was next to me and smile at him.

I sit in between Jungkook and Jin

(This is the speech if you havent heard it yet, Dahyun goes after jungkook and before jin)

"First things first, I want to congratulate the class of 2020. Everyone! You made it. You completed the four most dreadful but amazing years of your teenage years. You are about to start a new chapter of your life."

"You may be scared, I know I certainly was. But hear me when I say that everything will work out in the end. There will come times when you'll want to give up, you'll want to stop trying but don't let that decide your fate for you. Don't give up. Listen to yourself because out of everyone in this world, you know yourself the best. You know what makes you happy, what makes you sad, what makes you nervous, you know what's best for you.

"Don't let anyone stir you in a direction you do not want to go in. Don't let anyone manipulate you out of what you truly want."

"These four years that you went through taught you a lot, but so will the rest of the years ahead of you. This is not end, but only the beginning of something beautiful. You will bloom into a person that your younger self will become proud of, if not work towards becoming that person."

"I'm not going to tell you it's easy, because it's not. You are now going to be exposed to the real world along with all of its beauty comes its hardships. There will be a lot obstacles that will bump you out of place but I, along with the members, believe in you and believe you will make all the right choices. But don't get scared or give up when you don't because we are humans and it's completely natural to make mistakes. However, and i say this will all my heart, please don't take those as failures instead take them as learning lessons. Learn from them and become a better person. Someone you will look back to and be surprised of how much you grew not only physically but mentally"

"Even if no ones told you this, I will: I am so incredibly proud of all of you. I am proud and excited for you and what your future holds. Once again Congratulations Class of 2020."

I finish and look at Jin ready to hear what he has to say even though we already practiced our speeches.

After everyone's done talking we stand up and take the caps in our hands

Walking towards the camera we all scream together

"Congratulations class of 2020!"

And with that we take the caps in our hands and throw them in the air.

As soon as I throw the cap I was holding I look at Jin and we jump together.

Smiling I reminisce back to my own graduation and how lucky I was having these beautiful and amazing people there to celebrate with me.

But that's a story for another day...

I'm not great with inspirational words or speeches in general so I really tried my best with this buti dont know if it really turned out the way I wanted it to. Anyways congratulations to any gradutes. I am sorry everything was ruined for you. I hope that the youtube livestream and bts brought you happiness in what was supposed to be your graduation. But I mean how cool will it be to tell your kids or anyone in your future that; the obamas, beyonce, bts and so many more celebrities attended your graduation. I know that's not gonna happen at mine so y'all are lucky.
