Alternative universe

Prologue: Enter, Michaela

Today was the day, what I had looked forward to for months now. Sitting up from my bed, I could feel excitement coursing through my veins. For whatever god up there that was watching me,they gave me the opportunity to test out the first machine to enter an anime universe of your choice. Of course there were obvious risks that the scientists had warned me about. One, it could not work. Two, I could end up stuck forever. But honestly, there would never be another opportunity like this, so I had to risk it all. Getting up, I decided on my outfit to wear and put it on. I brushed my hair and made myself breakfast and ate it before putting the dishes in the sink. As time stretched on, I began to feel nervousness creeping in. Was I really about to meet my anime crushes and favorite characters? I nod to myself as I went out the door, and saw the ride they had set up for me. Of course this was supposed to be secret so they had to pick me up. I got into the vehicle and buckled myself in, reality setting in. I had only so much time left before I picked an anime world to enter, so I began going through pros and cons of each one until I decided on My hero academia. The further we drove, the more anxious I got. My life would be randomly chosen once I got in there. I would remember everything but I could not tell them that at all. I fell asleep on the way since it seemed to be a long drive, hopefully that would settle some nerves down. The vibration of the car slowing down woke me up and I looked up to see the big, official looking building that was slick and clean.  They helped me out and I followed them wordlessly into the building, getting a badge that gave me permission to enter the area and as soon as my eyes landed on the machine, my heart began to race quickly. This was it, the big moment of what I was waiting for. I signed a bunch of paperwork, safety, liability, all that fun stuff. Now, they led me down the hall to enter the two silver sliding doors that hissed. This was happening, and I felt light. They helped me once more into the machine and strapped me in. For the first time since I got here, they spoke to me.

"Which world are you wishing to enter?" The voice was deep and calm. Okay, I could do this.

"My hero academia." I answered, surprisingly calm and steady. They nodded and left me to my fate. I closed my eyes, thrilled and anxious to see what happens. A flash of white blinded me even as my eyes were closed and then I felt like I was falling, a scream building up as I felt fear burrow its way in me until everything suddenly stopped. Then I passed out suddenly. My whole life was about to change and I didn't realize it.
