Alice's Story (A Teen Wolf/ Derek Hale Fanfiction)

Chapter Twenty-One

As we walk into the hospital Stiles answers Derek's call so we can stay connected and keep in touch with each other. I walk over to the front desk where Mom should be to find it empty. "We can't find her." We tell Derek.

"Ask for Jennifer she's my uncle nurse." I walk to Peter's room to find it empty.

"Well he's not here either." Stiles says as all of the pieces start to fall in place in my head.

"What?" Derek

"He's not here he's gone."

"We need to leave," I say just as Derek says "Get out of there he's the Alpha." We start to turn and run, but we come face to face with the Alpha.

"You must be Stiles and you must be the beautiful Alice." He says as I turn to run but I am grabbed by Peter and I feel his claws cut into my neck. I cry out in pain as Stiles is stopped by Jennifer.

"What are you doing here? Visiting hours are over." She says.

I struggle to get out of Peter's grasp. "Oh for how long I have wanted to mark you. It will hurt a lot worse since you've been marked, but you and my nephew haven't completed the entire mating process."

"Why?" I struggle to get out.

"I want you to be in my pack. Not only to be in my pack, but I want you to be mine. It is the only reason I bit you in the first place." He says and Derek comes in and his elbow meets Jennifer's face. "That's not nice she's my nurse."

"She's a psychotic bitch helping you kill people." Derek says.

"So you think I killed Laura?" Peter says pushing me forward as he moves."My own family?"

Derek shifts and jumps towards Peter knocking me out of Peter's grasp and I turn to run but I my head is pulled back as I see Derek on the ground. Peter pushes my head into a wall beside me and pulls me back again and he pushes his claws into my lower back, pulling them upward causing me to cry out in pain. I fall to the ground a my lower body has literally been paralyzed. "My mind," Peter picks me up by the neck and proceeds to do the same to Derek. "My personality were literally burnt out of me. I was driven on pure instinct."

He releases us from his grasp going over to his nurse getting something from her pocket. I lay there unable to move as my body slowly starts it healing process. Derek on the other hand hops up. "You want forgiveness?" He asks before punching Peter. Peter retaliates by headbutting Derek and kicking him in the stomach.

"I want understanding. Do you have any idea what it was like for me during these years?"

Derek spits up blood on the floor as I start pulling myself forward to him, but Peter steps on my back as I get to close to Derek. "Healing cell by cell even more slowly coming back to consciousness? Yes becoming an Alpha pushed me over a plateau in the healing process. I can't help that." Peter says while Derek tries fighting again. "I tried to tell you what was haoppening. I tried to warn you." Peter picks Derek up and throws him through a glass wall and proceeds to pick me up by the neck again slowly following Derek dragging me through broken glass on the ground. The glass starts cutting through my a clothes and into my skin as we reach a new room, where Derek seems to have given up fighting, as he is now leaning against a wall.

I turn onto my stomach as I crawl towards him, and this time Peter doesn't stop me. Derek grabs my hands as he helps me heal quicker. I hear Peter start again , "I was going to wait for dramatic flair, but when you look this good why wait?" As he heals his face in front of us.

"Derek you have to let me explain. After all we are family."

An hour later we all pull up to my house. Peter fifteen minutes earlier 'spilled his heart out to Derek' somehow convincing him to help the 'poor uncle'. I on the other hand haven't been swooned by him. He sorta paralyzed me and tried to you know kill me multiple times. But now I can walk and I am fully functional.

"Go change." He says looking at my bloodied and cut up clothes.

I open the door and I look at Derek before saying "Can I talk to you?" He nods and follows me into the house and into my room. I rummage through my closet trying to find clothes. "What are you thinking?" I ask him.

"What do you mean?" He replies calmly.

"Why would you forgive him that easily?"

"Because he's family." He say getting angry.

I huff. "You do realize this is the man who has tried to kill Scott and I multiple times right. Not to mention that he paralyzed me not an hour ago. And let's not forget all the times he has tried and insinuated that he wanted to mark and mate me to make me his."

"I don't care about your brother." He says standing up from my bed.

"HE KILLED YOUR SISTER!" I yell back.

"HE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING!"

"You actually believe that shit story he told you? He just wants you to be in his pack along with Scott and I." I say some what more calmly as I step towards him.

"Hurry up and change." He mutters turning away from me.

"No, I'm not going with him." I to Derek.

"Fine." He says turning to leave.

"You do not have to go with him, you can stay with me." I say touching him causing him to stop.

"You don't understand, he's all I have left." He whispers.

I reach up turning his head towards me. "You have me." I whisper back.

"But he's family." He says moving out of my grasp and start leaving. By this point I'm almost in tears know I'm about to lose him, so I pull the cards I know I shouldn't.

"Maybe if you opened up and let people get close to you, you just might have more people that love and care about you-" I say to him being cut off.

"I'm sorry." A tear runs down my face.

"But you don't open up so all you have is me, and false hope sitting in a car in my driveway. Derek please if you love me stay. Don't walk out of that door and leave all of this behind Derek. Please, for me stay, for you mate. We can figure all of this out just stay." I say letting another fall.

He hesitates before softly kissing me softly on the lips. My eyes fill with hope as he stands there stroking my face with his hand as I hold his nech . We stand there looking at each other before he pulls his hands away and once again says, "I'm sorry." He starts walking out of the again and this time I don't protest. I just stand there like an idiot with tears running down my face. In the moments after he leaves I slowly realize that he is leaving me behind and opening a new chapter in his book.

Okay so here is chapter 21. I hope you enjoyed this chapter as much as I hated writing this ending just in positiveness feelings (sorry I'm a little sleep deprived.)
