Chapter 2 - Training

With the new callings that they have, they go forth in the path they chose. Each one embracing the change, while becoming stronger to reach new heights to become an arch integrity knight. 

They were only young, all at the age of ten. The church decided to verse them with common knowledge first. So for the next two years, they will learn more about history, sacred arts, and the arts of management and combat.

After the three years, the priests and sisters were astonished at the skills of the children. They couldn't believe that Soma never got a question answered wrongly. They labeled him as the youngest scholar to ever exist. Their ranks in education had Soma being first, followed by Y/N, Seki, Nerius, then Havana.

At the three years of being near each other, the children have gotten comfortable being with their presence. They start to develop familial relationships, each treating each other like family. Y/N, Soma, and Nerius in particular acted like true brothers.

One time, Nerius was bored to death because of a sacred arts lecture. He had the bright idea to use a burst element on an apple. Though Soma had to teach the kid a lesson, making Nerius earn a punishment from the priests.

Seki and Havana on the other hand, really have gotten close to each other, as Havana would imply. As the boys acted like real brothers, they acted like sisters, kinda. It's mostly Havana trying to break through Seki's cold demeanor. Seki wasn't really fond of Havana's personality. Havana being cheery and bubbly while Seki being cold and frank. 

But Havana was able to find Seki's weakness, much to the raven-haired girl's dismay. And that weakness is her crush on Y/N. When the redhead mentions Y/N, Seki would immediately pay attention. She would often tease her, leaving the usual cold girl to blush madly.

As they grow with each other, they were able to learn more about their quirky traits. Like Nerius hating the flavors of plum. When they learned of Soma's fear of bees, oh boy they couldn't stop their teasing. Havana's love for baking made them crave her delicious pastries. Even Seki was now upfront about being clingy to Y/N. 

And for them, they find Y/N a bit mysterious. Sometimes he just stares at the sky wondering. Some would ask why he does that, but Y/N responds that he was thinking about his friends from Rulid. They ask him what were they like and Y/N gladly tells them what they were like.

He told them about Kirito's overly childish and competitive behavior, Eugeo's calm and kind attitude, Asuna's godlike cooking skills, even Alice's prodigal skills in easily mastering a new craft. They all liked the description Y/N told them, they thought that they were truly good friends. But Seki didn't like Alice that much, especially because she was the one who caused Y/N to break the Taboo Index.

They established their hierarchical role of age. Havana being the oldest, acted her role out. She was able to figure out what the others were feeling in just a glance. But she still acts like a kid every now and then. And Seki being the youngest, acts cold and frank to the others but cute and clingy to Y/N. They pretty much gotten used to Seki's one-sided personality.

As they were now thirteen years old, they would spend the rest of it in knight training. They had actual integrity knights teaching them the ropes. But they had to choose a weapon to wield in mastery.

They will be tasked by the knights to pick a weapon to learn for the rest of the years. They are able to learn other types, but only after they picked their main weapon. The vice-commander will be assessing their choice of weapon after the day they chose it. 

When the day to choose a weapon came, they were taken to a weapons cache in the armory. It had all the weapons available in the human empire, and some from the dark territory. After choosing their weapon, they took it with them and analyzed it in their rooms, waiting for the day of their weapon assessment.
