Chapter 2

Y/n POV

It's been about two months since I moved here. Me and Saiki became good friends but only talked to each other through telepathy.

Today at school, I really didn't want anyone to talk to me besides Saiki. "Hey your Y/n right?" Teruhashi walked up and asked me. My head was down on my desk which was a good sign to show I didn't want to be bothered.

I picked my head up and talked back. "Yes" I said plainly. "Oh great! Well I just wanted us to get to know each other and we will become great friends" she sounded so cheerful but I read her mind so I know exactly what she's thinking. 'Ha, with my looks, she'll totally want to become friends with me! I am the perfect girl by the way! She will be on my good side! Perfect! But I don't want to be seen with her to much, she's not the prettiest girl so I'll have to ditch her sometimes'

"No" I answered. My inner emotions were actually burning with fury. I hate it when girls thinks they are better because they have more looks. Her face went from fake friendly to real shocked. "Oh come on please! We will be the bestest of-..." I cut her off.

"Enough teruhashi, you only want to be my friend because you everyone to think your a good person when really, you just want to be the center of attention" I said bluntly. It was a conversation where no one else could hear us so I guess I was safe for now. Teruhashi just walked away after that.

'Y/n, what was that all about?'

'Teruhashi said something in her head that made me lash out. Sorry Saiki'

'Why are apologizing to me? You didn't do anything but put teruhashi in her place'

'But she's not a bad person, maybe I over reacted'

'You stood up for yourself Y/n, that's all that matters. She may be pretty on the outside but she's just plain hideous on the inside'

'Thanks Saiki'

The smallest smile creeped onto my face.

Later that year..

'Welp it's Christmas time Saiki'

'Please don't remind me'

'How could I not, there's lights and Christmas trees everywhere'

Me and Saiki were walking through a small town on Christmas Eve. 'Tomorrow is Christmas Day, have any gifts for me?' I asked with puppy dog eyes. Saiki did a small 'pft' in response. 'I'll buy you coffee jelly' Saiki ran to the store that was right next to us. It was my favorite stuffed animal toy store.

If there's one weakness that Saiki has, its coffee jelly. He came out with a perfectly wrapped box. 'You will get this tomorrow on Christmas Day' he said as I sighed in defeat.

Me and Saiki went back home. I waved bye to Saiki before going back inside. "Hey Y/n, where have you been? I need you to help decorate the tree!" My mom and dad said simultaneously. I used levitation to put all the decorations up at once. My mom and dad cheered as I went up to my room...

The next morning...

I didn't want to wake up but somehow I knew I had no choice. "MERRY CHRISTMAS Y/N!!!" My mom and dad busted in my room. I didn't react because I knew they were coming. I bowed and went down stairs. I saw a table full of breakfast. I smiled a little and sat down.

Me and Saiki met up at the park where we were going to give each other gifts. I gave him a whole box of coffee jelly and him eyes lit up. Then after he was done fantasizing over some jelly he gave me my gift. My eyes widened. It was a pink kawaii bunny that I've wanted since I was five. I gave him the biggest hug I could ever give someone and we both slightly smiled at each other....

New Years...
Saiki's POV

Me and Y/n were at the wishing bell just talking and what do ya know, kaido was here...

'Just great' me and Y/n thought simultaneously.

Him and my parents were talking and talking about random things. I heard Kaido's wish at the wishing bell. I already made my wish, it was peace and quiet but Y/n hasn't gone yet. Soon after Nendo and Hairo showed up. Could this day get any worse. "Oh sorry Saiki I didn't see you there" it was teruhashi. God truly hates me...

I could tell Y/n was reading my mind because she giggled to the sight of teruhashi clinging to my arm.

My parents walked over and saw Teruhashi clinging onto my arm. They started commenting stupid things like 'ah my boy has found true love' or 'she would make the perfect wife'

"Hey! How about we all go to my place for dinner" my mom said cheerfully. I looked at Y/n who seemed uninterested but she knew she didn't have a choice, on the count of her parents are gonna be there.

'Wait Y/n, make a wish'

'Oh yeah I completely forgot but Saiki, please don't read my mind'

She rushed to the bell, rang it and made a wish.

'I wish for happiness'

That was simple. She knew I would read her mind either way it goes so I guess there was no point in telling me not to.

At Saiki's house...

Me and Y/n were a uncomfortable as heck. I mean Y/n has been in my room before but having all these people is making the both of us feel claustrophobic. I heard teruhashi tell Y/n to follow her and that she had something to tell her. They went into the next room and so I followed them using my invisibility.

"Well Y/n, aren't you going to tell me what's really going on here" teruhashi said coldly as Y/n gave her a confused face.

"What?"

"You like Saiki! Just admit it!"

"I do like Saiki but only in a friendship way"

"No you want to date Saiki! But it's not going to work because I'm going to win him over!"

"Ok teruhashi, I don't know if you've been paying attention or you've just been caught up in what's not important but Saiki wants nothing to do with you so leave me alone"

"Not so fast! I can have any guy I want. I'm the prettiest girl in the world! No one could ever match my beauty and potential! While you look like you've been dragged through mud! Your not even pretty! No guy would ever want you let alone Saiki. Just look at you, you couldn't even get a homeless person to like you!"

Teruhashi was about to walk back into the other room but wanted to say one more thing.

"And by the way, Saiki would never love a girl as ugly as you" and like that teruhashi left. Y/n dragged her back down the wall looking up and on the verge of tears. I got out of invisibility and sat down next to Y/n who was now in tears.

'The hell do you want?'

'Don't believe anything that teruhashi says'

'But I can't help it, I may be a psychic but I'm still a girl, and I can't help but have insecurities'

'But your not ugly, your actually beautiful. Teruhashi just doesn't want to admit it'

'Thanks but Sympathy compliments won't help'

'That wasn't a sympathy compliment if I meant it'

I got up and went to the other room..
