There was a new spark in my eyes
I looked happy, no, alive
I saw myself in a new light
I didn't want to fit in society's molds
I wanted to be happy
I wanted to be me
I wanted to feel pretty
I wanted to feel beautiful
I wanted to feel better
I threw away the molds
And started to make my own
The person in the mirror looked pretty
Tired, but pretty
She didn't look empty or so sad
She had a smile
a twinkle in her eyes
I prefer this girl in the reflection
I hope she stays a while longer
Before someone comes along
And rips the smile right off her face
