Chapter 15

Riya's POV:

I was so engrossed in watching the scenery that I did not realize the time. Of course, nature can capture you with its beauty but it's sad that we are the ones who destroy it.

I was disturbed from my thoughts by a phone ringing.
Oh I think it's my phone. I tried to get off from the hood of the car to get my phone, but something is preventing me.

I tilted my head to see the cause,
Oh, Arjun.
It's Arjun's arm around my waist that is preventing me. And he is asleep.

I don't know why but I want to remain like this only. For some reason, he makes me feel secure around his arms.

Although he is the one from whom I need protection. But still.

I tried to unwrap myself without disturbing his slumber.
Slowly Riya, slowly. I recited it in my brain while doing it.

YES!!

I mentally did a victory dance as I successfully released myself from his hold.

Snap it Riya.

My phone stopped ringing.
By the way, what's the time now?
I opened the passenger door, thank God it's not locked. I don't know what I will do when the door is locked.

I mentally shuddered at the thought of taking the keys from his pocket while he is asleep.

Eww! It will look odd.
My phone again started ringing. I immediately answered the call without seeing the caller id.

"Hello," I answered lowly.
"Hello Riya! Where the hell are you? Are you ok? Did he do something to you? I swear will kill him with my bare hands if he even touched your hair."

It's Karan.

"Karan take a breath. I'm ok. He did not do anything to me." I purposely omitted the part where we cuddled on the hood of Arjun's car.

"Hmm. You didn't say where you are?" He asked again.
Oh right! But where am I?

Shit!

"Karan I really don't know where I'm? He took me to a secluded park." I told observing the surroundings.

It looked like an abandoned park.

"Did. He. Left. You. There. Alone?"

Karan asked me with gritted teeth. In the background, I can hear Preethi scolding him for asking me that question.

"No Karan. He is still here only." I said taking a glance at Arjun.
He stirred a little bit. Maybe he is going to wake.

"Karan, don't worry about me. I will go home." I immediately cut the call not allowing Karan to answer.

Oh Gosh it's 5:40 we are here for almost 1 hour.

That's why Karan was so tensed.
I went near to Arjun to wake him up.

He was frowning in his sleep. Probably having a bad dream.
"Arjun, wake up please." I shook him on his shoulders lightly.
Arjun groaned and lightly opened his eyes.

He abruptly got up as if someone threw ice water at him. He looked around the surroundings and then his eyes finally landed on me.

I stiffened at his look remembering the incidents.
I cleared my throat to clear the tension between us.

It seemed to bring him back from the daze.
"It's late. So... Can you, or maybe drop me..at...my home?" I hesitated to ask him.

I really don't know this area and by the looks of the surroundings, I can say that only a few people come here.
