"Plumkit! Wake up! Today's our ceremony!" Hollykit told her sister. Plumkit lifted her head. "Let me sleep." She yawned. "But today we're gonna be apprentices! C'mon, sis!" Redwhisker nudged Plumkit slightly. "Wake up, Plumkit." "Ok. Ok, I'm up." Plumkit hesitated and got up.

Hollykit happily trotted out the nursery. "I wonder who my mentor is gonna be." Plumkit followed slowly, yawning. "Now, you two, calm down. I expect you to be calm and mature." Hollykit nodded. "Yes, mother. We'll be good." Redwhisker nodded back.

The two kits excitedly watched as Coalstar and Yewbranch leaped onto the Stone of Mist. "Let all cats big and small gather around the Stone of Mist for the apprentice ceremony of these two kits." The slender black tom announced. Plumkit sat there, ears perked up, as Hollykit tried to contain her excitement. "From this day on, until these two have received their warrior names, they will be known as Hollypaw and Plumpaw."

The two she-cats looked around with excitement as the cats around them cheered their new names. "Hollypaw! Plumpaw!" Coalstar continued. "Larchneedle, I think you are ready to have an apprentice. Hollypaw shall be your first." Larchneedle, a dusty gray tom, sauntered to the new apprentice. "I can't wait to start training! When can I?" "Patience, kid." Larchneedle calmly responded with a hint of amusement in his voice. "And Suntail," Coalstar spoke. The bicolor tom's ears perked up. "Yes?" "It's about time I give you an apprentice to pass your knowledge and skill to. Are you willing to be Plumpaw's mentor?" Suntail's face slowly lightened up, but acted calm. "I am."

Coalstar nodded. Suntail happily trotted to the ginger she-cat. "So, what would you like to start with? Patrolling? Hunting? Battle?" Suntail asked Plumpaw. "I dunno..." Plumpaw mumbled, bored.

Blossompaw sat down next to Pinepelt. The young warrior began to speak. "So last night your mother told me about a third clan,  right?" Blossompaw slowly and nervously nodded. "I'll show you." Blossompaw told him, and sprinted towards Rockclan territory.

She slowly climbed on the hill. "How do these cats climb this?" She asked herself between grunts. Then, she heard a familiar voice. "Hello, Blossompaw. Rockclan cats sure do have strong legs, don't they?"

The she-cat froze for a moment before turning her head and seeing Cinderpaw. "Uhh, hi, Cinderpaw." "You really should not be here. Why are you here?" Blossompaw responded in a slightly annoyed tone. "To let everyone be aware of your clan, duh." Cinderpaw blinked. "You know you can do that without basically luring yourself into death." Cinderpaw mumbled sarcastically.

"Well, I'm really sorry. I'll stay out." Blossompaw said, struggling to find a way to get off the hill and tumbling down to hill, and falling on her face.

"Oh dear!" Cinderpaw scrambled down to help Blossompaw. "Are you okay?" The Rockclan apprentice circled around Blossompaw to check for wounds. She saw some blood trickle down her shoulder. "I'll be right back. I'm gonna get some moss to help your wound." Cinderpaw said and padded away.

She came back a moment later with a wad of damp moss in her mouth. "Now, this will sting a bit" Cinderpaw said, and pressed the moss against the gash. Blossompaw grunted a bit. "I'll keep this on for a couple moments."

A few moments passed, Cinderpaw took off the moss. "How do you know this medicine cat stuff when you're trained to be a warrior?" Blossompaw asked. "My sibling, Aquasplash, is a medicine cat. And when I can, I visit them to learn how to help and heal cats, instead of claw and bite, like how my mentor, Spiderhollow wants me to. I was never fond of battle, and neither is Aquasplash. Spiderhollow is not a safe cat. If she sees something, she kills it, no questions asked. She is not pure Rockclan, she is pure Sorrowclan." Sorrowclan was the special cat Hell for Rockclan, while Silverclan was the Rockclan heaven.

Blossompaw was so nervous she could not speak nor move. "Why did your leader choose her as a mentor." Cinderpaw shook her head. "I'm not quite sure..."

"Blossompaw!" Another voice shouted. It was Whitepaw. "Blossompaw what are you doing here?" He noticed the gray she-cat. "Get away from her!" "It's ok, Whitepaw. She's not gonna hurt anyone."

"Cinderpaw, this is my brother, Whitepaw. Whitepaw, this is Cinderpaw, a Rockclan cat." Whitepaw blinked. "What is Rockclan?"

"Oh, well... umm..." Cinderpaw struggled to explain. "The territory that you're standing on is Rockclan territory.

Whitepaw shook a bit. "How does anyone else not know?" "Because nobody'll believe me." Blossompaw murmured.

"Do the 'Rockclan' cats know?" Cinderpaw sighed. "Yes, and they are not happy about it. Especially my mentor, Spiderhollow. She threatens and kills any intruder. So I think you two should leave unless you want to become crowfood." Cinderpaw teased a bit.

Whitepaw rolled his eyes. "Come with us. The clans have to know about this." Cinderpaw was shocked. "Wh- what?? I can't do that! Spiderhollow will kill me!"

"Spiderhollow doesn't need to know." Whitepaw said. "Whitepaw," Blossompaw mumbled quietly. " C'mon, Cinderpaw!" Whitepaw dragged the Rockclan apprentice to the cave.

"Hey guys! Check this out." Whitepaw shouted. Blossompaw loved her brother, but in situations like this, she wanted to swipe him in the face.

"Proof that we should get the heck outta here!" He yelled to the clan.

All cats stopped chatting and grooming and turned their heads to Cinderpaw, who recoiled a bit.
