The mermaid

Chapter 2

Remember when I said I wasn't just a mermaid, and then I said I practically belonged to the real family?

Yhea, that's not all I meant...

All the mermaids not only in my kingdom but the other six have their mermaids, which is like a mermaid inside of you, it only gets control of you if you're too angry, too sad to act or if you want the person to be a little scared, And beyond that they have specific powers, they can all talk to animals through the mind with just the touch of their hand and they can control water and everything related to water, and I almost forgot, we have mates, a mermaid or other specific being made for us by the God of the supernatural.

Now, when it comes to royalty you have these two powers, plus one specific that relates to your personality, my father reads minds, my mother sees premonitions of the future and my twin brother controls time and I have the power of healing, but I also have another power which I call a gift which is to see all my ancestors dead when and where I want.

All or almost all the knowledge I had about the outside world is thanks to my ancestors.

You can call me crazy but it's the truth, I tried to find out why I'm the only mermaid with that ability, I tried with books, with my mermaid (Emily) with my ancestors  and even with my parents but being discreet, yes I didn't tell them, but can you blame me? They  will not believe me and they can tell anyone that a have this ability joking and things can go wrong.

Ok back to the story

I tried but eventually I gave up

I started seen them when I turned 17 and since then I don't feel as alone as before, if I have friends? I have only one, Lydia, she's my only true friend, because the rest just want to be friendly with me because I'm royalty.

It's been three hours since I left, and I sighed and I started swimming faster than normal, because it was too late and my parents are gonna wonder where I was and I'm gonna have to come up with an excuse, why? because they don't want to see me related to the subjects of the outside world, and they never show interest, so why bother them.

I arrived at the palace and was greeted by Jerry one of the guards

Hey hotstuff, want to go for a swin later? I asked trying to flirt with him

Jerry starts laughing and shaking his head, You're lucky Marisa isn't here, otherwise she'll kill you in the blink of an eye

I looked at him with a false look of fear and almost crying, when I was about to reply my mother appeared with a look of "We need to talk" and before she went to the Palace I made a sign with my head indicating that I'm coming.

After a few minutes talking to Jerry I kissed him on Jerry's cheek and went into the palace looking for my mother.

Mother I'm here, I said while I was  going to the living room and making a curtsy for her, she just looked at me and said

When will you change behavior Ariel, said she shaking her head
I pretended I was thinking for a while and then I looked at her saying,

Never mother, and I think you have to live with that I said sitting on the couch and putting my feet on the table

Take your feet of the table Ariel, she said without patience, I took my feet off the table and waited for her to speak again

Remember Xavier Artman of the Axterin kingdom? She asked waiting for my answer

How could I forget an idiot who thinks that male sex is superior to female?

Stop saying this things  about him Ariel, I will not tolerate it, she said bored as if I have done something wrong

Come on he's an idiot, said Emily

Did I mention how much I love you ? I said to emily

Before she could reply my mother spoke

What I wanted to say before you say bad things about him is that he and his family are going to join us for dinner tonight, I want you to be well behaved, and as for the clothes I talked to Agatha, she takes care of it

That said she left the room leaving me with my mouth open

My day is completely ruined, that's for sure.
