"Okay move a little to the right." James said clicking the camera. We were at school taking pictures for the "Post-It Note Girl" project. He said he needed some "evidence." I moved the neon pink sticky note to act like I'm putting it in. I don't see how this is necessary.
"Nuh-Uh! Your doing it wrong." James hissed. I sighed sharply because he is irritating me now.
"Just take the stinking picture!" I whined. We've been doing this for one straight hour. Someone throw me off a bridge.
"Ugh. Here this is how you do it." James groaned. He held my hand and put it near the vent of the lockers. I flinched a little at his direct contact by saloon brushed it off. For once I actually felt like a princess, because I was on my tippy toes and his arms showing me how to do it. I chuckled.
"Thanks Prince Lazy Bum." I smiled.
"Whatever." he smiled back as he took one final shot.
Finally its over.
"Hey wanna go to the park?" I suggested. I didn't worry about my parents worrying about me because thankfully they were gone this week to a meeting somewhere in California. I'd always wanted to go to the park near the school. I heard its HUGE. It even has a waterfall.
"Sure, since you helped me."
We walked over to the car, passing the empty parking lot. James put the keys in, and we drove off.
--
Five minutes later we arrived. I stepped out of the car, and I felt like I was Alice in Wonderland. There were trees flowing against the wind, and the crystal clear waterfall, wow, it was beautiful.
I pulled James' darting to the waterfall.
"What the-" I held James hands as I took a few steps to the waterfall.
"Isn't it pretty?" I said. It was like paradise.
"Yeah, I guess." he shrugged. I let go of his hands and sat down on the shelf of rock, besides the waters. James did the same.
"James?"
"Yeah?" he replied.
"Thanks for not leaving me, or think I was crazy." I said turning my head so were facing each other.
"What do you mean?"
"Like when I told you my... secret." I'm still biting my tongue, I think its bleeding by now.
"Oh yeah, your welcome. I'm sorry I was a jerk to you before you told me. I'm really sorry I shouldn't have made your life like hell." he said. James was actually being sweet to me. I liked it.
"T-Thank you." I said.
He's just so sweet and sensitive. I rarely see that side of him. I quickly looked down, and made my side bangs cover my face. I didn't want James to see me cry. They said biting your lips and thinking about happy thoughts makes you stop the tears. But biting doesn't work and happy thoughts? I don't think ever once in my life I felt happy anymore.
"Alexis?" I'm still looking at the ground while my side bangs cover my face. But I can see that in the corner of my eye he's trying to make me look at him.
"Hm?" I said, still looking at the ground.
"Your lips bleeding."
What? I slowly lifter my fingers and touched it. He was right it is bleeding.
"No its not!" I said, trying to muffle my sobs. I turned against from him and tilt my head so my bangs can move to the side.
"Alexis come here! Let me see." he insisted.
"No." I tried to get up. I don't want him to see me crying.
"Alexis, stop!" James said, turning me around with his arms. And when he did that we were facing each other. His eyes concentrated against me, while I cover my face with my hands ignoring eye contact.
"Alexis, please." James slowly pulled my hands out of my face, and thats when I finally locked my gaze against his. His eyes were so brown, it was beautiful.
He brushed my hair away, and used his jacket and slowly dabbed my lip.
"Don't cry its okay." he said pulling me into a deep tight hug.
"C'mon its going to be okay. Follow me, I'm going to show you my wonderland." he said smiling.
"Wonderland? That sounds girly. " I said sniffling and laughing at the same time.
"Piggyback?"
"What the-"
And I was too late. James Logan is giving me a piggy back. My legs were awkwardly dangling on his shoulders as I held onto his hands for support. This is so childish, but fun. Makes me go back to when I was a innocent child.
James began walking to the car but that's when he stopped and carefully set me down. James knelt down to pick something up from the grass. Then he picked up a small gray rock. Which made me very confused.
"This describes you." he said.
I furrowed my brows because I was confused. "Bitch, is it because I'm ugly and I shouldn't have a face." I said raising my eyebrow.
He but his lip to contain his laugh but he couldn't.
"What? Haha no, never."
"Well, enlighten me James. How does it describe me?" I asked.
"Because it's strong."
(A/N)The song is "You Da One" by Rihanna. Anyways I hope you had a great day, and I hope you smiled. Because you deserve to smile <3
