In my book Falling Apart, I add in music every chapter to create a lasting feel. I often choose songs with lyrics related to that particular chapter to further emphasis the emotions my character is feeling during that time.
I think this is a good idea, because not only does it add to your book, but using songs that people can remember and know well often make them have a better chance of remembering your book more. Your readers will be able to fully engage in your story while listening to their favourite song.
Aesthetics is all about adding to the picture, so I think you should definitely consider adding music.
To do this, add the top of each draft chapter, you will find two grey symbols. One will represent a mountain and sun, while the other shows a camera. To add music, simply click on the camera, and you will be able to search your chosen song onto YouTube.
I recommend choosing the song beforehand.
I see some people writing a playlist but not adding any song, and I always feel as a lazy reader, unbothered to search up the songs, so adding the music is a quick way of helping your readers engage with your writing.
I highly recommend using YouTube as a music platform.
Remember to put warnings of language or other in your book.

TOP TIP
Use top hits for your music, as more people will be able to relate and know the songs well. Some readers might have a soft spot for that song.
