"Alright," Jace said, standing up in the orange glow of the sunrise. Clary lie in bed, her eyes fluttering open. "I'm going down to the Institute. Alec should be there with Magnus."

"Okay. I'll get going on patrol later," Clary replied, sitting up. "Oh!" she exclaimed. "We got Alec and Magnus's wedding invitation," she added. Jace looked up at her selecting his shirt in surprise.

"They're getting married...?" he asked, incredulous.

"Yeah. People do that, Jace," she laughed warmly, sliding out of bed. She shuffled around her closet, finally selecting her standard outfit of black leggings and a black t-shirt made out of a tough material.

"Well, obviously, but I didn't think Alec and Magnus would get married. Especially since Magnus's immortal, and Alec is, well, not," Jace replied, squinting at Clary. "What happens when...?"

"Shh. It's better not to ask," Clary replied, slipping her black shirt over her head. She turned, walking quietly over to her black combat boots, lying against the wall. She glanced over at Jace who was slipping on his black pants, her red hair whipping and falling over her shoulders. Oh! While I'm on a roll I'd better brush out my hair. It looks like it's in desperate need of some TLC.

"Hm. I guess you're right," Jace went on, huffing as he pulled on his black boots. The standard Shadowhunter uniform seemed to make the both of them glow, with the blackness of it flushing out their skin tones. "What does the invite say?" he asked curiously, craning his neck to look at Clary.

"It says, 'You are cordially invited to the wedding between Magnus Bane and Alexander Lightwood.' You don't have to RSVP and it's on the 22nd of March," she replied, looking over her shoulder at him. She turned her gaze back to her boots as she laced them up, frowning as she did so.

"Hm. Alec doesn't really like his full name. I'm surprised Magnus convinced him to put it on there," Jace shrugged. He was pulling on a black jacket with plenty of jackets, and, as he finished, he swung on multiple scabbards.

"You're going demon-slaying in the field today?" Clary asked, noticing the scabbards quickly. She stood, reaching for her black jacket with the ends to her ribcage. As she pulled on the jacket she grabbed her gloves, pulling them on as well.

"Yeah. Alec and Isabelle are going as well. Simon's home and taking care of their new baby, too, so he couldn't come along."

"Ah. Have they figured out the baby's name yet?" Clary asked, her fingers wrapped tightly around her brush's handle. She raked it through her coppery hair, smoothing it down here and there to look at least a slight bit presentable.

"Yeah, I think so. I don't know it though. You'd have to text or call Simon to learn. Something beginning with a K, I think it was - I overheard them whispering baby names before they decided on one," Jace replied, opening the door. He usually didn't bother with breakfast, against Clary's stubborn wishes. He was possibly the only one who was able to get away with it - defying the stubborn red-head's rules and announcements, that was. Among other things, of course.

"Good idea. I'll be sure to drop a text later," Clary said. "Wait!"

"What?" Jace asked, standing half-in, half-out the bedroom doorway. He clutched at his swords, and Clary could see the faint gleam of a dagger hidden in his boots.

"Good luck. Kick some demon ass for me," she smiled sweetly, rushing over to him. She pecked a kiss on his cheek, still smiling. He gave her a content smile back before leaving. Clary watched him leave, running down the sidewalk towards the Institute.

Thanks to Clary's own begging, the two had bought a nice house about four years ago. Jocelyn was skeptical, but, again, Clary convinced her mother that the two would be fine. And, four years later, the house was beautiful as ever and the two were extremely content with their home. The crew always made sure to stop by to speak to them, to both Clary and Jace's delight. Jocelyn was always ever so careful not to disrupt their 'activities,' though. She had never liked walking in on Jace and Clary's shenanigans in bed ever since the two were still in the Institute and she came to Clary's room, only to find both fooling around.

"Ha," Clary chuckled as she recounted the memory. Jocelyn had been furious with both and had given them a long lecture on how Jace should've kept it in his pants and how Clary had 'known better.' "Oh, mom. I do admit, I miss you," Clary smiled sadly. Their house was near the edge of New York City, farther from the Institute than what her family and friends had thought of.

Clary grabbed her mobile and a long dagger decorated with Celtic signs and Runes that enchanted the blade against demons, smiling softly. She slipped the dagger in a hidden pocket inside her jacket and texted Simon:

Simon - I'm coming over, if you don't mind. I heard from Jace you've chosen a name for the baby. Tell me when I come over!

She walked, drumming her fingers against her mobile phone nervously, waiting for a reply. She walked quickly to Simon and Isabelle's shared home - the two had recently been wed. Recently being about two years, of course; and the two already had a baby. Lost in thought over how much time had flown, Clary's phone buzzed in her hand with a reply from Simon already.

That's O.K. Be sure not to ring the doorbell - the baby's asleep and I don't want her to wake up. See you in a bit. :)

Clary smiled, walking to Simon's house with a faster pace. She couldn't wait to meet Simon and Isabelle's newest addition to their family.
