Nolan gritted his teeth as he snatched the fun off of one of his employees, getting into the car in which he just pulled the man out of before he followed after the, in his words, insufferable kids truck. His day had already started off on a sour mood when he woke up and realized you hadn't been by his side.
The day before you had both gotten into a rather heated argument. He had informed you of his plans and strategies to rid of Wade and you had fumed at him with how dangerously idiotic that was. For god's sake, they were kids!
He was relentless, however, and his stubborn words had become a personal attack and you had left just as he muttered an apology. Nolan hoped that you would return during the night and slip in beside him in bed, but that never happened.
He was certain that you perhaps had slept in the guest room, but he soon realized that there was not a single trace you had returned home at all. In a rushed, snappy tone he ordered one of his board members to send some IOI agents out to search for you.
It was nearly night time and he had not heard of a response, so not only was he beyond enraged, he was worried sick. His employees had even noticed him walking out for a smoke, and only one brave man informed the CEO of the promise he made to lay off cigarettes- a promise he made to you that had become apparent when you mentioned it at one of his few dinner meetings (you just wanted to make sure he was keeping up with his promise by using his employees against him).
Nolan, however, snapped back at the young man as he lit the cigarette, growling out, "My wife might be missing as of right now, and I'm losing to a mere teenager at the moment. I could care less about the promise I made. It's of none of your concern, either way, so get back to work!" And with that, the worker quickly scurried back to his station.
Now he was heading down a narrow street, one of his fellow IOI agents on the other side, successfully trapping the truck between the two. He had rammed into the side of it, jerking forward and growling as he felt blood dripping down his face.
"Fucking hell," he groaned before all the cars came to a halt and he got out, walking towards the truck before he realized he was cornered when an older woman warned him to walk back. He rolled his eyes before taking the gun from his pocket and raising it in the air, threatening to take a shot.
